2013 part out

Rhino front axles $300,2" superatv lift $150, superatv high clearance arms front $150, new in box front diff $1100. 2 front diffs for parts with good housing $200 a piece, used tps sensor $50, new in bag tps sensor $100.

Stubborn front axle

I broke a front axle and cant get it to come out of the diff. Do i need to undo the shock from the upper A arm so i can get a straighter pull on the axle or am i doing something else wrong. I have tried pulling and jerking the axle with no luck. I dont know what else to do. Seems to me they should come out easier than that.

frame brake in lower front

Went on an extreme Atv trip near port Severn Ontario with 9 atv’s. Followed the snowmobile trails which were very technical riding. After 7 hours we all made it back with out being towed. We had such a blast that we didn’t mind changing the axles (4 different atvs broke axles) or straightening tie rods etc. wearable parts including bearings and ball joints are all expected to wear rapidly. The others were 800 can am, 1000 can am, 800 can am, 750 king Quad, 700 Grizzly, 500 can am, 250 bear cat

What I am encountering in the past few trips are frame breaks. Two trips ago the rear of the frame broke by tranny mount and lower arm tabs both broke off. I welded a plate in between all the tubing underneath, and added my own arm tab brace after welding the tabs back on as well as adding more steel webbing around tranny mount. Other strengthening mods were steel ribs to all the arms that were bending breaking where shocks mount.

Just when I think the frame is good the front comes apart in the lower front. Front diff dropped an inch in frame and flexed from side to side. (Anyone else have this??) All the other frame breaks I’ve seen here but not this one.
I posted a you tube link which is a bit dark but you can get the idea of what happened.

I am posting this for all the extreme atv riders so they know what to watch for. Catching these breaks early as they happen have saved this Atv from the wreckers. This forum has really helped and I hope I can contribute back. I would strongly recommend buying all the frame bracing you can if you plan the extreme riding/mudding.

2013 850xp fan wont turn on

I haven’t ridden my 850xp in a while and when i went to ride it yesterday the fan wouldnt kick on and it would start to overheat. It was at the dealership where they installed a new battery. I have 4 positive connections on my battery and 2 negatives which sounds odd to me but apparently it could be normal. Can anyone confirm this? The reason i ask is because one of the wires has red tape on it but for some reason i think its a ground. Also what are the first things i should look for. I can spin the fan freely. It doesn’t move super easy but it moves. Is there a fuse for it or relay that should be checked? Thanks guys!

Still having CLUTCH problems

Hey guys, so after ripping the primary and secondary off and cleaning them as much as possible, adjusting the shimming on the secondary, i still cant figure out why my secondary stays spinning at idle. I’ve put the shims back to the 3 washers it was at stock, as it seems that’s where the belts sits centered in the primary the best. I’ve made a video if you don’t mind taking a look and telling me what you think. Bearing in the primary clutch gone? EBS fused to primary?(Dont even know how to check for that haha)

Mudder inlaws

Does anyone know where to get 28" mudder inlaw tires. Sedona shows them as an option on their website but cant find them anywhere else. I only see the 30 and 32".

Accessories wires??

I have a 2011 sportsman xp eps. I’m ordering my winch today if I can decide on steel cable or synthetic rope!!! Lol. Anyways, I know its goin to come with wiring directions just wondering if anyone has any pointers. It will be appreciated. Also what is the 3 accessorie wires for thats to the right of the battery if you standing in from of the machine? All 3 have different connectors. Thanks

About those EPI springs…

I just ordered the EPI springs for the front and rear.

I’ve searched quite a bit for the installation process on the ’14 850XP but I can’t find anything. From what I understand the 14 mounting is a little different from the previous years.

I looked at the front and rear shocks and it appears to be easy. It looks like all I have to do compress the spring first with a spring compressor, lift the front or rear just a little (not let the CV over extend), then remove the top and bottom mounting bolt of the shock, and slide the shock out.

Switch out the spring and remount.

Is this correct or am I missing something? Any suggestions?

Drive clutch tear down

2013 850 xp. I was having some issues with shifting being impossible, and since have pulled off the primary clutch to inspect it. How does one get to the one-way bearing to see if it needs replacing or not?
