At Least No One Was Hurt!

The kids were up at the cabin and took the ATV’s out for a spin, while on the trail they had to get over for a full size SUV on a pretty good angle, pulled mine into some tall grass, there was a steeper angle in the grass and it popped the front end up and over it went backwards. Not sure how it hit, the light pod had some scratched and was pushed back, but the only major contact was in the front. Took out all the aluminum support braces, the radiator and the fan, cut through the winch hot lead that fried the battery. The plastic wasn’t damaged to bad, here’s a picture after strip down.

Engine Whine / Whistle

Took my 2015 850 SP out for it’s second ride today and I noticed it’s developed a whine or whistle like sound between 2500 – 4000rpms. The sound is there in all gears, H, L, N, R, P. The sound is significantly louder when in gear, but it’s definitely still present in Neutral & Park. Sounds like it’s coming from under the handle bars. Any suggestions?

Polaris 850 XP

I have a 2013 Polaris 850 XP that keeps dying when I get in mud hole or in water. I have die electric greased all connections checked fuel pump pressure and fuel flow volume. Fuel pressure is 43 psi. The fuel volume at key on is 2 oz. per key cycle. I have also changed champion plugs to NGK’s! Checked boots on intake and are good! Changed stock exhaust to slip on and nothing changes. Throttle response hesitate from idle if you go full throttle from idle. It does good if you go full throttle from about 1800 rpm’s. It was going dead when muffler went under water. When I changed plugs and added some alcohol to fresh tank of gas it would not go dead when muffler went under water but still go dead when I ride it in deep mud hole. It is not snorkeled and I don’t not get it deep enough to get in intake. I have had it deep enough to cover 29.5 ol2’s and won’t go dead. Even throw water on coil mass air tps sensor and spark plug wires and will not go dead. When I go ride it with friends and first deep mud hole it does. When it starts dying it will slowly loose rpm’s till it dies. I winch it out mud hole and check oil and intake and they are good. Try to start it back and it will start it slowly builds rpm’s back to normal idle. Ready to ride and runs good till I get in another mud hole. Any body else have this problems or have suggestions please share! Thanks

Do i need a clutch kit? pictures

[HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] [HTML]/HTML] 2014 polaris 850 with 27 inch swamp lites. Just wondering if i can run a stock clutch. Seem to have no problems with the stock clutch. Just went 1 inch bigger then stock.

Always pulling to the right?

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have a 13 850xp with the tires that came off my 1000xp sportsman on it now. Went to the dealer to pull codes on it and they did a update on the power steering unit. Well ever since then I have had a pull to the right pretty bad. I have checked tire pressure and no help. Took it back to dealer and they set the toe and replaced all 4 tie rod ends that had play in them (under my extended warranty which is nice) and then I picked it up and they told me to drive it and see what I think. Well it still pulls, which they said is the crown in the road which it’s not because it does it even at slow speeds. I;’m really thinking it is in the EPS unit it’s self cause it seems to be tougher to turn left then it is right.
Now off road on the trail one won’t really notice it, but once on pavement u feel it right away.

Winch Help

Had a great day riding this weekend with only a small casualty. My winch broke winching my buddy out of some mud…gears are gone. I have a 2012 Sportsman 550 XP and had the Polaris 2500# winch installed when I bought it new. So now the upgrade begins. I have 2 questions. 1.) Anybody have thoughts on the Superwinch Terra 35? And 2.) Does anyone know if I can get away with using the existing Polaris 2500# bracket to mount the Terra 35. I’d like to not have to fork out the extra $70 for the bracket. Thanks for any help!!
