OMG – Brakes making me nuts – HELP

I think I have learned something and now, what to do and why.

I picked up and 05 trail boss and just finished putting new pads on it. I was told when i bought it the back one didn’t work, whatever… I put new pads on all 4 and figured I’d end up needing a new rear master cylinder. I topped off the front master and gave a pump of the brake lever and fluid started dumping out the rear caliper. My first reaction was WTF did the previous owner do, then I remembered an old Suzuki a friend of mine had a while back a front master and a separate rear but the rear was a dual piston which engaged on hard braking. Is the 05 Trail Boss the same or did someone monkey around with this quads setup? With a front master reservoir and a rear under the seat I thought they were completely isolated brake systems.

I’ll take any help I can get.

Color of paint?

I am asking if paint on the rear carrier is available for a 94 Polaris 250 Trail Boss. I like to upgrade the current paint, keeping it still looking factory color.
Color name? Color number?
thanks

1986 trail boss wont turn over

The electrical start doesn’t work right now, no click when I turn the key and press the start, I’m not worried about that right now though. I have to start it with a torque drill because the pull start is broken as well. I cleaned the carburetor once and it turned over easy. I let it sit all night, and now when I try to turn it over with the torque drill it only cranks one rotation before stopping.

I was messing around with it and got it to crank only once today, but it did not start. Now it just wont crank more than one rotation before stopping. It doesn’t feel too easy to turn by hand either. What should I mess with? I don’t really know anything about engines. Cleaning/rebuilding the carb yesterday was the closest I’ve ever got to an engine.

2001 Polaris Trail Boss 325 Idle Problem

Hey guys I have a 2001 Trail Boss 325 that’s having a few issues. For one, the bike has been used very few times lately and has been subject to a clean up for the carburetor. I turn on the motorcycle and it roars great, but once i take my finger off the throttle, it dies. I was wondering what the fuel bowl level should be (often referred to as a reservoir) and if the needle’s seat has a specific adjustment. I’m sure the bike is lacking fuel, as I don’t see any overflow of gas coming out of the escape lines. Any thoughts? Thanks. Also, the fuel lines were replaced with newer ones, so those can’t be the issue. I know there’s a bolt with a spring (almost resembling a corkscrew) that can be adjusted to increase or decrease acceleration…it works hand in hand with the handle throttle. Thanks!
