As the title says I have some issues with the ol’ quad..
First issue. out of no where while riding the battery light starting blinking and the speedometer needle blinks also. I have searched a ton on this and have found that it could be the voltage regulator. Called the local polaris shop and of course they have never heard of it happening. Anyone else have this issue on these newer ones?
Second Issue. The AWD is not disengaging with the switch turned off. The lights turns off with the switch on the speedometer but I can watch the front drive shaft and front axles spinning while riding.
Front diff wires pinched in steering stop just above diff. Is this common? Looks like factory routing puts them dangerously close to the steering stop. Was not sure how to search this one for thread history. Would warranty cover this?
I called Warn yesterday to ask them about this, the part number on the mounting plate is correct. This is the Vantage 3,000, I don’t know if this is a new model with a revised switch or what, but the pictures on the installation instructions show the old switch that is red with just a line down it that says "Warn" on it. It’s not this black one with the huge tab on it. What would you guys do? Cut the frame? Or just trim that tab down if Warn cannot make me a mount? You can see in one of the pictures that the winch can go back another 1/4" before it hits the front differential. Basically what’s happening is my switch is hitting the frame before it gets to the "engage" side.
I just bought a 2015 Polaris Sportsman 850 SP. I was curious, I want to replace the stock muffler, but I want something that sounds similar to what the stock one sounds like. Let me explain. I want something that looks better then what’s on it but sounds just as throaty as that one does. I can stand it to be a little more deeper of a sound , but don’t want it to be drowning out everything around me. Any recommendations out there? Thanks

I was messing around on my 500 HO the other night and switched into DCA 4×4 and got some nasty noise and vibration on deceleration, but do not have this happen in regular 4 wheel. I was thinking it was probably the cage but I am not sure as it is only doing it in DCA. Any help would be appreciated.
Hey guys, been looking through the forums for awhile but just now joined. I’m looking to get a sportsman, and a good friend’s father has one. It’s a 2010 Sportsman 500 HO, carbed, 2000 EASY miles, sage green, everything is factory. I would assume the owner before him kept up on maintenance, he got two quads from the same company and the other sportsman has 7700 miles and runs great too. Plastics are decent, would clean up nice. Everything works good. He has no idea what it’s worth, I was thinking 2500-3000?
Thanks for the help

Between the 850 and the 850sp? I looked on the web site and can’t figure it out. I’ve get the 850 camo which they only show in the 850 but I’ve get a sp sticker on my quad. The owners manual covers both, just trying to figure out the difference.
