Anyone else ever had this problem, this is the second rear half shaft i have replaced (originals went bad about 6 months apart, ujoints tore apart). First one did not have enough angle, it bound up, had to take ujoint apart and grind the !@#$ out of it, it worked. Ordered from a different place, same problem, wtf. This atv has no lift. just ranting i guess. have a good day

so I go out on a shooting trip and notice ive blown a light globe. driving light.
ring up my dealer and he want $ 45.00 for globe. That is bullshit. how much are they in the states. has anyone changed one of these before as it has a special polaris cover. Im pissed off.

I just rebuilt my diff with all balls diff rebuild kit I pulled the cage out and all the rollers, cage was great no cracks and nothing broken, pressed off bearing messed up the surface of one of the plastic rings but filed it all down and smoothed it with scotch pad, I never pulled any of the clutches out just the 2 center bearing holders, 4×4 is stuck on in forword high and low, no matter where switch is. now in reverse its not working at all switch on or off and button in or not pushed. new demand drive fluid, did I mess something up?"

So since I can’t ride at the moment I thought I would try to one arm clean my machine. I have tried numerous things from just plain soap and water to industrial cleaners then rinse and all seem to leave a thin but noticeable film of dirt. What and how do you folks clean your machines and keep the black plastic black and the blue plastic blue?

Does anyone know if the sportsman 850/550xp led gauge display is plug and play and will work on the ho version that comes with the basic gauge? I can get the led display for cheaper and my gauge quit working.

I have a 2014 550 touring and was looking to replace the springs with something a bit stiffer. I looked at highlifter’s page and couldn’t find anything for my model so I called. Just for into they have the front and rears separate or in a combo. For the 550 the fronts were 107, the rears 140.00 and the combo was 238.00. Again just for peoples info.

So after its winter nap I took out my 2003 Sportsman 700 to go out and take down snowmobile trail signs. Everything started out fine but after about 20 mile I noticed it was back firing when I let off the gas. It had fresh gas in it and ran fine when put it away in the fall. Used stabilizer in what was left in fuel (about a gallon). Thoughts? I had to do a head gasket last year and I noticed the Y pipe was cracked so I had it welded. I know a friend that had another brand and he had a big time back firing problem and it was from a leaking exhaust.

When I hold the handlebars straight, the machine wanders to the right. The only adjustment I can see would be to shorten the right tierod, and lengthen the left. Anyone else have a suggestion?
