I have snorkels on my atv and they were working fine… But we had to change the cylinder, because sand/dirt got mixed with the oil and it was burning oil out of the muffler… But I went to go in this creek and the atv started to bog a little.. And every time I would start to turned the throttle it would stall..? It finally stalled in the water but I got the back end up on it.. And I don’t know if the water got in the carberator or not… And it didn’t get in the cvt exhaust or belt intake… But a little of water got in the air box… PLEASE HELP!! , I just love going deep here and but but I can’t if it keeps stalling :werd:PLEASE HELP

Been a life long dream of mine to have a 4×4 and so now I’ve finally decided to put out the money to make it happen. My budget’s 2,000 – 2,500 so obviously I’m looking for something used, and I’m writing in to ask you guys what I should be looking for a what I should avoid.

I’ll be using it mostly for just moderate trail riding and camping so it doesn’t have to be a monster machine. Requirements are that it have a lot of potential rack space, automatic and be fully 4×4. So far after looking at a lot of offers I seem to be settling on some of the 2005-2007 Polaris Sportsman models. They seem to have some flexibility as to what type of components you can add on…racks, gun racks, etc.

I’m fairly mechanically inclined and could probably do any maintenance or part upgrade outside of getting too deep into the motor.

So what are some of the models I should be looking out for? And are there any I should be avoiding?

Also, so far craig’s list has been my only source to find sellers. Any other suggestions for where to look for leads?

hey everyone I have a 2014 Polaris Sportsman 800 that I absolutely love but it always seem to be missing some flair. I had led blue lighting in the grill before but it just didn’t seem to be enough. so I decided to add a few more lights, which turned out better than i thought. Added some lighting above the spotlight facing down into the light. this is just a start I also plan on putting halos in the head lights and strobes for the spot light and tail lights. also going to run one single blue led each one of my snorkels at the top so the inside of my pipes glow blue. so far i love it sure it might be excessive but i really want to stand out. Plus i work at a motorcycle dealership so i can pretty much go nuts. The first pic is before the teardown

Hey guys was just wondering is anybody separated their headlight or tail light lenses by baking them in the oven. I heard that if you bake them around 180 degrees for 10 minutes the glue should be soft enough to be able to separate the lens from the housing. has anybody tried this any info would be appreciated. I’m planning on putting halo lights on my sportsman 800 2014.

hello guys and gals,

i have an 04 500 and recently it will not start with the key but it will put start fine.

it will crank over fine with a jump box but it doesnt have spark at the plug.

ive checked for power at the cdi box plug and there is no power on any of them while cranking with the key.

battery is a little weak all on its own, but with the jump box it should still fire but its not getting spark, but it fires just fine with the pull cord.

im out of ideas unless theres a fuse or circuit breaker ive tripped that i dont know about.

bike will run , but pop and fart at idle , when reved it will just die or not want to rev kinda act like its gasping for air ..

I repaced the stator/regulator and this is the result of doing so.. , ive checked gaps at polsar coil seems fine … im stumped … could use some advice thanks in advance

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum and just bought my first ATV, a 2010 polaris sportsman 500 HO. I’ve o ly had it out a couple times but something doesn’t seem quite right. When I punch the throttle to take off from a low speed, it doesn’t seem to go like it should. Kinda revs and just goes up to a crtain speed until I let off a bit and then it gets going a but faster. Is this a clutch issue? I just teplaced the belt with a new oem belt and put on some rims and mud tires but it was acting the same before. Thanks for any help!
