I have a 600cc sportsman it overheats i am sure its the sensor in the radiator because the fan doesnt come on but i tested the fan and it DOES WORK so thats good but the coolant overheats and boils over im sure the thermostat works it opens up all the way at around 190F so if wiring the fan all the time doesnt work what else should i look at? the coolant doesnt leak into the oil i checked that already just wondering what it could possibly be also where can i get a switch so if it heats up i can turn the fan on myself?

I just bought a 2011 Sportsman HO and took it out for the first time. When I decelerate I hear this weird sound and the best I can describe it is like a popping/slapping sound. It’s kind of like when the center bushing on a two-piece drive shaft is worn out and the shaft hits against the outer ring of the support. That’s the best way I can describe it.

I have tried walking along side the machine while someone was riding to see if I can locate the noise. I checked all the drive/steering linkage and that all seems to be in order.

Anyone have an idea of what I might look for?

Picked up a 1997 sportsman 500 today for cheap. Need some help with it. It cranks and has spark and compression is 100psi. I put water in the radiator and it ends up in the cylinder. Do you think it’s the head gasket or a cracked cylinder wall. Or could it be something else. The compression has got me spoofed. It held the 100psi.

Please help me. Need this fixed by this weekend for a ride.

I have a 2014 570 sportsman. I noticed that a few of my grease fittings aren’t taking any more grease. Are all of the fittings the same size if i were to go buy new ones? I have one that is clogged up on one of the front A-Arms, and the fitting on my drive shaft. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Yesterday was the first ride after repair. I cleaned radiator and changed coolant. Valves were regulated too. After 5 kilometers the engine was very hot. There was no ‘HOT ENGINE’ on the display. I added about 50 ml of fluid and after the engine has cooled down, tried again. The same, too hot engine. Can you tell me, is there a way to remove air from the system? I expect, this is the reason of trouble. Quad was in the garage for over a year, without starting the engine.

As the title says I’m looking for the diameter/ grip size. I’m going to get my old man some heated grips and new grips for Father’s Day (I don’t want the two in one grips…..
