sportsman 90 wiring problem
1 ) Ignition switch gone
2 ) homemade start button
3 ) wires cut spliced together
The plan is to remove the engine to put on a VW go-kart. But I need to make sure I have a good engine first.
I replaced the stator and CDI.
Now for my problem: NO FIRE TO COIL
I’m pretty sure I can figure it out if I had a wiring diagram for a 01 sportsman 90, but all I have found are schematic’s with different color wires. Any one here help me out?
2008 sportsman 90 mods
installed some hid lights but they flicker – can’t find any info on this – there is not a light switch – might need a relay – need help with that
second – i would like some more aggressive tires for his 90 as well – any website and size that would work would be great
third – i would like to increase the performance of the wheeler as well
I’m new on here so any help would be great
94 polaris 400l new “generic” key switch wiring question
I purchased a 1994 400L 4×4.
It was missing the ignition switch. I bought a new non OEM switch on ebay.
It is a four wire just like the OEM, but the wires are red, brown, black and black with white. When I turn the key on I get power in and out of the red and brown wires. So brown is not ground like OEM.. My question is where would you think I need to hook up the wires to the terminal board.??
I know the red goes to red on the board for power and I would think the brown would go to the the red/white on the terminal board since i have power out there, right?
The two other blacks/black w white ? where would those go on the board.
Also where does the terminal board gets it ground???
I have not quite figured this out.
I also am missing the CDI…still trying to find one.
I hope this all makes sense
Thank You

2004 700 efi fuel rail issue
Noticed fuel on the left side. Discovered it was coming from the injector, left side had a slightly torn o-ring when I took it out.
Not sure if this is why it wouldn’t start. Perhaps fuel pressure wasn’t high enough in the rail since it had a small leak?
Getting new O-rings tomorrow, and I’ll see if I can find a fuel tester. I’d also like to get a NOID tester.
With the tank back off, I shot a little starter fluid on the cloth around the air filter, and it fired and ran nicely for a short while. (I know this is not recommended.)
So it’s definitely a fuel system problem. Hoping it’s just the leaky O-ring, don’t want to put any more money in this machine!
Thoughts on the leaky rail preventing it from firing?
