Changed the oil , removed screen, so I primed the pump by clamping the hose coming from the oil box.

No problems, let it run for 20 minutes that day, no light came on.

overflow and rad full!

Today I started it, hot engine light comes on, didn’t let it run long enough to see if fan would come on.

Unplugged the coolant temperature switch? I believe on the drivers side below the oil filter, and the light goes off?!

what is wrong, what should I replace if anything?

Hi..I was going out 4 wheeling with the gang,started bike, backed it off trailer and shut it off so i could unload wifes bike. when i went to start mine it was dead…no gauges,no lights,no winch,no click when key turned, absolutely nothing.battery checks out fine,and tester shows power on one wire at ignition switch.spent several hours trying to find problem with no luck. connected battery pack to winch so i could pull bike back up on trailer.
is there any way of testing to see if it is the ignition switch?? or could it be one of the sealed fuse relays? any ideas??

hey I have some questions on this machine in particular on weight carry my son is not your average sized 10 year old and the laws in maine state that no one under 16 years of age can’t ride a machine bigger than 90cc to give you an idea my son is 5’4 190lbs and before I buy I want to know if this thing will even carry him around half decent or what?

Hi All,
My sportsman 500 is overheating. The red light on the pod is coming on indicating engine temperature is high. I have narrowed it down to the fan since it is not switching on.

I have replaced the fan switch on the radiator and cleaned all wiring harnesses and it’s still not coming on.

I have ordered a new thermostat (p/n 3084940) and a new ECT Thermo Switch (p/n 3805352) and i’m hoping these two will fix it.

After reading the clymer manual wiring diagram, I have questions:

1) Is the engine temp switch the same thing as the ECT Thermo Switch?

2) If so, wouldn’t that mean that the Thermo Switch is good if the red light on the pod is coming on?

3) The Clymer manual wiring diagram shows the water temp sending unit as connected directly to the fan motor – is the water temp sending unit the same thing as the fan switch (which I have replaced)?

4) They clymer manual wiring diagram shows the "Water temp sending unit" as having a fuse. Where is this fuse?

5) Lastly, anything else you suggest checking before installing $135 in parts?

I have an 08 700 x2 and am looking for a used rear dump box, when I purchased the Atv the box was not installed and destroyed.

My machine is running good but is it beneficial to clean the carb regularly? I was thinking of getting some spray and spray into the carb as the machine is running. Is this a good idea or not?

Hey guys new to the forum…. I just bought two 2015 sportsman 570 sp and looking to do my first upgrade which is a rear seat/cargo storage wanted to get y’alls opinion looking at the tamarack, Wes and quad boss loungers I will be having kids riding with me.
