My 2013 500 ho overheated due to faulty relay. The one that’s in is a 50 amp relay. The only one I can get today is a 40 amp. Will that be ok or should I order a new one from dealer and wait.

Can I change the axle seals on my front differential without slitting the case?

I just changed all the fluid levels on my 2011 850. The front was a puzzler since I didn’t have a funnel that would work or anything else for that matter. So I happened to have a cheap plastic turkey baster. The tube is clear plastic. It fit perfectly into the bottle and into the fill hole in the front gearcase. Made replacing the fluid easy and you could see the fluid going into the case. Just another way to do it without hassle. :cowboy:

got a 2003 sportsman 500 HO. build date is 9-9-2002

first issue – I noticed that i could switch the yellow awd switch and the awd light would come on. but the speedo still says off. i was curious so i jacked the quad up and noticed that back tires and front left spin. front right tire does not, but the axle does.
i switched the awd to off and same thing.. 3wd still. does that in reverse and L.

would this be a fluid or armature issue? but i still dont get why the AWD light is lit up but still says off…

second issue – i got the gear stuck in reverse. kinda freaked out until i disconnected the linkage for L and freed it up. shifts fine. but sometimes gets caught back up in R if im not careful and shifting more left and up..
(i think the L has something to do with it).

any thoughts on either one?

Hi all new guy here. I’m trying to repair a 2003 sportsman 90 youth for my cousins son. I’m having trouble with the clutch carrier I think. It will pull or drive for a very short time then stop. Motor still wanting to run but a TV doesn’t move and then will bog engine down. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The clutch carrier pads are wearing on and angle is this ok?

Hey guys. So an issue has popped up on my wheeler – the front right head light and tail light won’t work. The tail light shines dimly, but when applying the brake it goes out completely. People have told me this is probably a ground issue – are grounds easy to fix on a 2014 Sportsman 400 HO? I’d rather not take it to a shop and lose $150-300 on an issue that can be fixed at home. If it’s going to be too difficult, I guess I could suck it up and take it in. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
