Help Polaris GODS and GURUS!

Ok fellas. I have a 99 or 2000 Sportsman 500 that the AWD will not engage the front hubs. I have done quit a bit of work to this machine for a friend as it was mistreated by previous owner. I did rebuild both hub clutches with OEM parts, torqued to proper value, filled with OEM fluid. Checked both hub coils for proper resistance=25 ohms, check for voltage when running in gear and awd switch to on and also the override depressed when in reverse… volts is 13.37 in all cases. Speedo does work, wiring checks good for resistance and continuity. I did try to hot wire system and still no front engage. The 99 wiring diagram shows a hub protection device/circuit which I cannot find. The 2000 diagram shows no protection device, only speedo cluster. Sticker on back of speedo says 12-7-1999. I have done many Po-Po’s (including my own) and have never ran into this…. What am i missing? Feels great to bring a good machine back to life from the dead! All replies welcome and thank you!

Plow question

Okay so first of all don’t get your hackles up this isn’t about what type to buy or which mount is better etc. I know there are ton’s of threads on all these topics. My question is pretty basic. How do you use one? Do you need chains on your wheels. Do you need extra weight on the front or rear? How close to the actual road do they plow? I know there are U tube video’s but most of them are just of guys using there plows to plow snow. Why do so many winch ropes/cables break from using a plow? Stuff like that. I am going to get one this fall and just don’t want to either hurt my 550 or the plow because I am doing something totally wrong or idiotic because I don’t know any better. Thanks in advacne

2013 850 Touring Check Engine Light On after rollover

I had a ramp fail offloading my 2013 850 Touring as I was coming out of the pickup truck. I was offloading with a steep slope on my right side. Yes I know this was stupid!!. And I was using cheep ramps. I now own a really good set of ramps!!! You have not lived until you are laying on the ground seeing a 800lb bike coming at you. I gave it a push as it was about to land on me and the bike went end over end down a 75 ft hill. I brushed myself off with no broken bones and could here it running on it’s side at the bottom of the hill. I scurried down the hill and shut off the bike. After wiping off the blood from numerous scrapes and cuts I rolled the bike upright with the help of a couple of guys. Checked the oil and gave it the once-over. Handlebars bent lots of plastic cracks, front and rear racks ruined etc etc. Fired up the bike as I needed to move it to a location I could winch out of the bottom of the ravine. Check engine light was on. I figured it was a rollover sensor as all fluids were good. Loaded up and headed home. Ordered a bunch of parts and took the bike apart. Disconnected the battery and the next morning hooked it back up to find check engine light still on. Bike ran fine. All the internet and forum search indicated a trip to the dealer to have them use their fancy diagnostic tool to reset the computer. Not happy about that but decided to disconnect the battery while waiting for the parts to come. Two weeks went by with the battery disconnected. Installed all the new parts changed all the fluids and did my annual maintenance and reconnected the battery as the last step. Check engine light was out and has stayed out ever since. If you ever roll over the check engine light will come on but in my case disconnecting the battery for a long period of time worked. What did not work was an overnight disconnect. Hope this helps someone.

Gear Position Sensor went out?? HELP

Hey guys, I was riding last weekend and found myself in some DEEP water in one of the ditches we were riding in. well long story short I got tangled on some barbed wire, not wanting to move my quad until the wire was cut free from my wheel the rear end of my quad was submerged up to the rack. When I got out of the ditch my gauge cluster said I was in Low when I KNOW I was in High. Now when I shift into Park, Reverse, and Neutral they all show but when I go into Low and High it stills shows I’m in neutral. I’ve read that some people have had the gear position sensor go out and they don’t have their AWD and well I think that might be the case with me. I got a video of me shifting through my gears in the service mode showing the ohms. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks.

Fuel leak

I have a 2005 sportsman 500 EFI. On the fuel line on the right side of the Wheeler there is a T in the line that used to have something keeping it plugged. Whatever was there is now gone and the second the fuel pump kicks on it pours fuel right out of that T. Can anyone tell me what that T is? I just want to replace the part.
