Just picked up a 04 700 efi. I also just bought a used older plow off a guy last night, he had it mounted on his 05 sportsman 400. Came with Blade, push tubes and mid mount. What I can’t figure out is how to mount the mid mount. It isn’t like the other ones I’ve seen, it is two plates that mount on each side by foot boards. They may have been home made for all I know. There is no tag on the plow to find out what brand because it was painted blue to match his quad. He bought it that way. So should the mount be the same for both machines? I’m going to take measurements of the width of the push tubes and length. Thanks

I’ve never played with winches or plows in my life, and so a little hesitant to rush out and buy stuff.
we have a 2002 sportsman with a winch already installed, and it has the big knob style switch up on front fenders and i want to convert to a thumb one.
what is the easiest and most cost effective way. here is a picture of the underneath of my switch if it is necessary.

Hi guys. Any of ya’ll have a problem with the choke cable being hard to pull out? Mine has always been a little tough but now its getting harder to work. I checked the forum (both this one & the maintenance and repairs) for any possible help, but cant seem to find any thing that has to do with the cable issues. I might try to work some graphite or oil down it. Just wondering if it was routed wrong when it came from the factory.
Hey guys I did a quick search on this and was unsuccessful at finding anything so I thought I do a quick report on a discovery I made while servicing my Ranger ETX. As I was putting the new oil filter in I noticed some writing on the outer case that said Fram CH6096. I did a quick ebay search with this number and found that under the fram name this filter is less than half the cost as the one in the Polaris box. Just a simple heads up to help save all the owners who have the ETX engine in a vehicle whether it be the Ranger, Ace, or sportsman. Your welcome! FYI if you notice in the second picture my dealer charged me $12.99 for this filter.Attachment 27541
2002.5 sportsman 700 wanting to run 28 tires, I put on the 2 inch front lift from eBay, the one that mounts on top of the struts, is it enough to clear ?
