So I’m trying to replace my stock bulbs with the xenon bulbs. I have used them in snowmobile and cars and like the extra light. I ordered a set off ebay but they don’t fit. Apparently they made two style bulbs. Mine has a bottom tab in stead of side locking tabs and mine has 4 mounting prongs instead of 3 mounting prongs. Anyone have a part number for this? 894 is the wrong one for my atv thanks

Lately I’ve noticed that my 2007 700 Sportsman needs a little more throttle to get going from a dead stop. It use to take right off, now it revs a bit higher before it moves.
Any thoughts??? Bad belt??

Hey all! Does anyone know if it’s possible to take off the clear lens of the speedo to allow for cleaning/polishing? Mine is slightly cloudy and would like to clean it up.

Hey guys I have just recently had a problem with my 2001 sportsman 500 ho.. Lately it has been shutting off at low speeds when letting off the throttle (such as backing up or letting off the throttle while coming to a stop) anybody have any ideas on what it might be? It starts right back up fine and runs good… It started doing this the other day when I had drove it through a small puddle.. Maybe something got wet? Not sure.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The other day my sportsman cut out. While driving it (was the fiance, not me), the display turned off and the four wheeler died, then started right back on it’s own. Right now the display won’t come on and it won’t crank (unless jumped at the starter solenoid, cranks but no fire). The battery is good, connections are cleaned, all fuses are good, and the 3 wires coming off the solenoid all have 12V. Next step would be check the power at the display/ignition, but I don’t know which wires at the display/ignition should have power. I need some advice in that direction.
I wired up a winch not that long ago, and used the orange/white wire for power to the solenoid for it. I believe that is the accessory wire, specifically there to provide power to something aftermarket only when the key is on. But is has no voltage with the key on. Obviously this wire would be after the ignition switch, and since it has no power, would suggest that the ignition likely doesn’t have power either. Basically I hate electrical problems and any suggestions/advice is appreciated lol

Hey guys I recently started having carburetor issues and found a decent sized crack in the factory Mikuni carburetor housing. After looking all over the internet I ended up buying a brand new carburetor from Zoom Zoom Parts. I installed this and immediately started having more issues that I did not have before like fuel being shot back into the airbox, not idling and smoking pretty good. I’m pretty sure this brand new Chinese made carburetor is trash and I wasted my money on it. Can anyone suggest where to find a factory replacement carb for my 700, whether it be brand new, used or rebuilt? I am trying to steer clear of the Chinese made crap now.

So on this model, the rear brake is on the output shaft, not the wheels and there is just one of them. When going over this machine, I found that both the brake fluid resivores ( handlebar and under seat) are just at the min fill line and I want to add fluid. The hand brake works well, and I plan on adding new pads. The foot pedal, however, barely holds the quad on an incline. I’m thinking there is air or water or something in the foot brake line and want to bleed it. I also plan to add new pads here as well.

Does anyone know of a guide or better yet, a video on this procedure? In the pic below, you see the rear brake. It looks to me like there are two bleed valves. I’m assuming one for the hand brake and the other is the foot brake.

Any help getting the foot pedal brake working again would be much appreciated!

Hey all, I just picked up this 00 sportsman 500 and am in the process of going over it. It came with a 2012 5×8 trailer which is what sparked my interest. Was a listing on Craig’s list for $3500. After some negotiating, I got them down to $2700. We then went to the title office and it found its new home. Checked it over and it’s a really solid machine and was obviously very well cared for. Had 186 hours and 950 miles.

Now I want to go over every little detail and would like some resources. This site has been great for that so far!! Thanks!
