Decent lift kit for sportsman 570?

Hey guys.

Have never done any modding to an ATV.

I have some 26 inch mud lites, and after deciding to keep the 570 I have, am thinking a 2 inch lift would be kind of fun to go with the tires.

What is a decent lift kit, and is there any concern with stress on the axles with a 2 inch lift, any difference in the ride, or handling, or anything else I should be concerned about?

Wheel spacers might be kind of fun also.

What say you?

New Wheel/Tire Pics Sportsman 570

This is a 2015 Sportsman 570 EPS. I figured I would show some pics of what I did because I always see a lot of posts about what fits what, what offset to go with ect. So I went with ITP wheels 12×7 inch 4.0 + 3.0 offset, and 26x9x12 in the front and 26x11x12 rear kenda bear claws tires.

Something to check upon maintenance

This is the piece that holds your shifter rod in place. Mine completely wore out at about 3000 miles. Might be something to check during maintenance it take 2 min to change it and could save you a headache. It cost 3$ part# 5436722. I think most models of sportsman have these and there are 2 of them one at the front and one at the back of the shifter linkage.

Let’s put battery location to rest.

Went out for a 490 km beating this weekend. We ran deep mud and water and a lot of bush rock and sticks. Couldn’t think of a better spot for the battery it’s the only thing that didn’t get covered in sand and mud. Even my rear seat storage box had mud in it.

570 in the sand dunes

Took the 57o out on the trails and Silver Lake Sand Dunes with 1000 can am and a 400ex, it did awesome!! Don’t know if it made a difference, first time on the sand, but I put my rear tires on backwards. Made it up test hill at the dunes faster than a 400 with paddles!

In drags the 400 kept about 1/2 a quad length over about 200 yards, very close race, and of course the can am was about 10 out!
Overall I am very impressed with its performance.

Battery issues

In the last two weeks, my ATV has TWICE failed to start because the battery is empty.

But the weird part is that I’ve had it for a year and it always started fine even in -25c but now when it’s only like -1 or -2 it won’t start. Is this because of some backlog of not charging it and if I once load it fully it won’t be an issue anymore or should I just get a new battery?

If I should get a new battery, how will I make it fit in the tiny spot of the current battery, or do good batteries exist that are that small?

It’s the -14 EPS version.

bad base gasket..

I talked my new 570 up to all my buddies and haven’t had any of the "normal" issues these have had until today I noticed a plate sized puddle of oil under my atv. It’s leaking from the base gasket just below the start of the header. It’s not so much a 570 design flaw as it is a quality control issue with Polaris. I assume they didn’t torque it properly and that’s the issue, mass production problems I guess. Hopefully that’s covered under warranty, I have a good dealership and I personally know most of the mechanics there so i know it’ll be done right.
