My s.o. and I bought the 570 on recommendations given at our local dealership. What really started it was the recent snow storm and a failure for our plowing service to clear our steep, long driveway. We were staring out the front window looking at snow covered slab wondering when the heck the plow service was going to show, when we saw a neighbor blasting down the road with his atv/plow rig. In the time we watched, he cleared 3 driveways and it looked like he was having a blast doing it. All it took was an "I wonder…." from her and, being a motorcycle guy going through winter withdrawals, it was like throwing gas on a fire.
So now we have one. Plowing the driveway was a blast! We took it north to some trails and had a good time on the winter atv trails too. Overall a success. There are a few tweaks I’ll need to make for cold weather like heated glove outlet, windshield, hand protectors, etc.
The forum has already been invaluable for steering me the right direction on freeing up my electrical system for the added load, among other topics. So, thanks in advance for all help offered to this newbie.
Thinking about a set of 26" ripsaws on 14" wheels for my 2016 570 eps, anyone have expiriance with these? I know they are a heavy tire, dont want to sacrifice too much low end, I love throwin rooster tails!
Recently purchased a 2016 sportsman 570 eps. Didn’t realize that this model doesn’t have the dual a arm in the front. Does anyone make a conversion from macpherson to dual a arm?
I don’t use skids on the pavement I plow, so the wear bar fades pretty quick. No way I’m paying $40 for a replacement. Making a couple out of 1/4" today. I wish I’d have bought 3/8th, but at least it’s thicker then the stock 3/16.
I bought a 570 back in may and have really enjoyed it! but my main concern is what should i be concerned of and be ready for. i hear that the stock axles are a little weak when you upgrade tires etc…. id like to bulletproof mine and save the trouble. already looking into Rhino axles because i plan on putting mayhem tires or something similar in the new year. Also, i store my atv in a enclosed barn, ive opened my airbox to find loads of nests, any tips to keep the mice away? Thanks in advance :D:hand:
…did a little riding on the property this evening with my new sp570,WOW,what a riot- even more fun than in the dirt.Bike handled great ,felt like a sled with all that slipping and sliding around back there.Really fun.We got about 3 inches this morning -kept it under 20mph and in low range. These 570’s :):):):)have so much low end nut-love it.
I recently purchased a 2016 Polaris Sportsman 570 with a Glacier Pro 60" snow plow. I am also in the process of getting a Guru bumper made so I will have some extra weight on the front end even when I am not plowing. My local dealer has told me that Polaris doesn’t make an HD spring for the front end yet for the 2016 model.
So my question is…does anyone have any experience with the High Lifter springs?? Would you recommend doing the front and back springs at the same time? Will it be alright if I just do the fronts for now to save some coin? How about installing these on your own?
Any input at all would be fantastic on this topic. Thanks!
