I had my EPS kick off on me yesterday. Anybody ever have that happen to them? I got the idiot light and it was hard as hell to steer. I turned the bike off and the back on and everything worked just fine.
I need some help on replacing the battery in my 2015 Sportsman 570sp. My battery says its a 4011138. Which I find says 14AH ETX15. I go to the Polaris website and under parts I punch that number in and it says this is NOT the right model battery for your machine. They claim the 4140006 is the correct battery. I think this battery is the one you need to add water to where mine is sealed. What I really want to do is find a good replacement battery like the Deka but cant figure out exactly which model of battery to get. This sizes don’t quite match what I measured mine at. Granted I didn’t pull the battery out and the ones I see are all a tad bigger which if it didn’t have to fit in the tray exactly would be fine. I’m trying to get a high power battery that will handle the power steering and the winch/snowplow with power angle without giving up the ship and losing the power steering when I really would like to have it. For those of you who had the above battery in your 2015 570sp what did you replace it with and the model number. The search has came up with to many choices that don’t seem to fit mine. Thanks for your help.
Bought me a 2015 Sportsman 570 in April and have put appx 150 miles on it. So far I have concluded that it gets to damn hot on my right leg and the seat could use some attention but other than that I LOVE it. This is the first ATV I’ve ever owned and I’m the kinda guy the modifies everything LOL . I already plan on doing the exhaust wrap, and shield the panel, seat & tank as best as possible this weekend and I also plan on upgrading the tires/wheels with some 26’s in the next week or two. I ride mostly trails with rocks, slick clay, tight woods and the occasional mud hole so any suggestions on tires ? What are some other things I should look into getting ? ( I’ve read about clutch kits, exhaust and programmer , etc .. ) I’m very mechanically inclined so I’m not afraid to tear into anything but I also don’t want to waste $$$ on some BS parts.
Thanks, Randy

Hey all.. I just got back from a 450km 3 day ride up in northern Ontario.. The 570 performed flawlessly.. Well almost.. I had to drain my cvt of water quite a few times.. The trail system we rode had lots of unavoidable water.. If I got in up to the clutch cover I was in trouble.. I’d hear that dreaded bog down combined with the even more dreaded slow down, and a couple of times I almost didn’t make it!.. Then my group would have to stop and wait while I drained the clutch cover.. I stopped in at a local polaris dealer and left it there for a couple of hours while we went for breakfast on the 2nd day.. I was very impressed that they accommodated me with zero notice (Hat tip to Rick Ward’s Polaris in Kearney Ontario).. He pulled the entire clutch cover off and reassembled into ensure there were no gaps due to assembly.. He thought maybe water was rushing back as I splashed in and was pushing its way back and getting into the clutch exhaust vent.. That really didn’t seem possible to me considering how high up the inlet is (belly button height for those who don’t know the 570 set up).. I also do not hit water hard.. Anyway.. He siliconed the top fitting on the assembly just incase that was the culprit.. So $100 later (not bad for his time and effort).. I headed back out onto the trails.. I made sure to hit water slowly.. It was better.. But if I got stuck and was in the water for say a min or so fighting my way out.. It would fill up.. All of the joints were as sealed up as they can be.. I wonder if it’s leaking where the cover meets the motor.. Any thoughts on that?.. Or how well the main body of the assembly seals together?.. Anyone else have water issues on a 570 and how did you solve it?.. Apologies for the long post.. Just wanted to thoroughly explain..
Picked up oil change kit from dealer, he gave me the rzr 570 kit instead of sportsman 570 kit The filters are same thread and diameter. the rzr filter is about a inch longer but it still fits on the machine. Should I take it off and back or will it be fine?
I have been having problems with my PS since day one. Took it to the dealer and they are going to look at it this afternoon. Service manager took it for a drive and said in 2 wheel drive it works great. He claims in 4 wheel mode that with the front wheels pulling that it tightens up and steers harder. That doesn’t sound right to me. Doesn’t Polaris only go into 4 wheel when it senses loss of trackion? Could some of you comment on this.
