Rattle Rattle, Rattle, Cland, Cland, Clang

Put in about 300 miles this weekend on the 570. I have more rattles than a rattle snake. I guess once I get her nice and shiny it will be time to chase them down. Some were rocks on the A Arm guards but others are coming from different places. It isn’t the shifter I know that because the rubber piece is in the correct position. I guess instead of a name like white lighting I should call it rattler. I rode a little without a helmet also and noticed my driveline noise is a lot louder than I thought. Almost sounds like the chain in the tranny taking up slack and going back slack.

570 down

Hi guys, I normally don’t post mostly just read on forums. The wife and I were out riding our 570’s and everything was perfect, nice sunny day rain the night before and no dust when all of a sudden my machine started sputtering then made a few knocks and died. I had to leave her on the trail with the broken down machine and I flew back to the truck on her machine. after getting it back home and drained the oil it was full of aluminum flakes so off to the dealer I went. I should hear back from the dealer in a few days how bad the damage is. These machines are 10 months old and have been 100% problem free in the just over 800 miles and of course I decided not to get the extended warranty with not having one problem in the first 6 months. Before anyone asks yes all maintenance has been done on time actually these machines are on their 3rd oil change 3rd air filter and greased after every other ride. I guess things just happen sometimes and hopefully the bill don’t hurt to bad, ill post an update when I hear from the dealer.

2″ lift pulled boot off?

I just installed a 2" lift on my 570 and went out for a 16 mile ride, then when I came back and parked I noticed that my inner rubber boots were pulled off. Has anyone else had this problem? Also has anyone ever had the snapring on their cv joint keep popping off?

-Thanks

Reverse light MOD. Heated grip/thumb MOD and Curved LED bar.

After some thinking I installed my reverse light this weekend.
I have read some on the reverse light mod but I made it in a different way. I also installed LED bar.

The function I wanted for reverse/rear worklights was:
-Reverse lights ON when in Reverse.
-Manually turning the reverse light ON with push button regardless of which gear is selected.

Solution was to fabricate a bracket and install a inductive sensor which is activated by some "soft metal mesh" (dont know the English word for it).
The metal mesh is mounted to gear selector linkage.

Then I just connected both Inductive sensor and +12v signal from rocker button on POD (yellow light in photo) to a relay.
Im not sure if sensor will fail when using rocker switch button (when using this +12v will be fed to sensors output, if so I will just replace it and add a diode to prevent current going "backwards".

Heated grip/thumb MOD
I have cheap set with 3-way switches without indication if OFF/LOW/HIGH is used. I wanted to have indication which mode is selected.

So I added two color diodes (each can light both green and red).
One for the grips and one for the thumb.
When Low heat is selected they are green and when High is selected they are red. As seen in photo upper is grips which is set to Low And Thumb is set to High.

Curved LED bar
I also installed a Curved LED bar.
I tapped the signal from High beams and ran it through a rocker switch so that I have the option to run ATV in high beam but without the LED bar.
Its the Blue rocker switch In Pod photo.

As usual I forgot to take photos during installation.
But here is some with end results.
Sorry for the dirty ATV, I will wash it this week…

18W Rear light and Factory mounted License plate light (standard on EU models?)

Inductive sensor mounted to heat shield

Pod with everything turned on

Curved LED bar, and LED DRL-lights
