Trouble with engine dying

I bought my 570 in oct 2014 for 4995.00 ,great deal .Got about 150 miles on it and had the first service job done. On July 11th I was driving it around my house about 9:00 pm and it would die when idling .Well I goosed it coming out of a ditch and it died in the middle of a 2 lane road. It wouldn’t start back up. The engine wouldn’t turn over, I had power, the headlights worked, I could hear the starter engage but the engine wouldn’t turn.
Well Im a paraplegic that uses a manual wheelchair to get around that I didn’t have ,so I was stuck. I had a cellphone with me and after 7 min of trying to get a signal I got a hold of somebody to help me. Just for the hell of it I tried starting it again and it started. What happened? It was hot and muggy that night, but no overheating warning light came on and my fan was working.
If anybody had similar problem, reply.

Tire gashes?

I’m sorry if this is a silly question, but this is my very first ATV ever and my lack of experience leaves me with a lot of questions.

This question is about tire gashes. I bought a 2015 Sportsman 570 new this year. It has the stock Carlisle tires on it. When I was looking it over today I noticed a lot of small gashes in the tires.

I attached a few pics of the worst one. It’s hard to tell from the pic but the gash goes down into the tire approx. 1/8", possibly a little more. The tires are still holding air but I’m wondering if I should be worried about them?

Thanks in advance for the advice/info!

Bought My 2nd 570. Now My Review

I bought a 2014 570 July of 2014. Put 550 miles on it no problems and then this winter had some issues and under warranty was a TPS adjustment issue which was fixed. Never had heat melting stuff like some say….. but it does run hot. Besides being a loud (suspension) machine, the positives outweigh the negatives!! I am well over 1,000 miles now and all is good!
Picked up my new 2015. I have 15 miles so far and all seems well. I see they added a heat shield by exhaust and heat shield tape to gas tank and inside right panel as some have done on this site. Also some cool cosmetic work like different speedometer (brighter, blue color) that looks sharp.
Battery is also in a case/covered now.

So….. as of now I am very happy and wanted to post some positives vs. negatives you see all the time.
