Was thinking about the exhaust heat problems, especially on the 570, what causes heat, how to reduce heat. Don’t want to get into a session on what causes heat, but what can be done to reduce it. Question #1, do those of you who have installed, or modified the stock exhaust by installing a larger exit pipe on the muffler still have the heat related problems? It’s my thought that the stock muffler on the 570 is severely undersized thereby restricting exhaust flow causing excessive heat. You thoughts or comments appreciated…..

My inexpensive melted seat fix.
Like a lot of people on here I had the dreaded melted seat issue on my 2015 570. My original seat was a melted mess after just one day of riding. I filed a complaint with Polaris and was given a new seat by my dealership. I applied a little extra heat shield to the bottom of my new seat but I also removed the heat shields and trimmed them where the seat posts rested on them. Now as you can see by the pictures, my seat posts rest on the frame rails instead of the blazing hot heat shields. After about a year of riding in some days as hot as the mid 90’s and covering about 200 miles I have absolutely no more seat melting issues. I am so glad this fix has worked or I was going to sell my machine.

Oil In Air Filter Intake Box
I own my 2nd 570 (1st one is 2014) and new one is 2015 model.
I have been breaking new one in (I’m a stickler on doing it) and I am at about 250 miles, forgot to check the hours.
I was cleaning the air filter and noticed an oily "substance" in the air filter box and of course on the air filter.
Any ideas??? My 2014 model has never had this issue.

best way to clean radiator
I went for a 8 hour ride last weekend and got really muddy. I cleaned it well but today when I went it started to over heat after 20 minutes or so. I diagnosed it to the rad being blocked by mud. I after letting it cool down I got it home and cleaned the atv with the pressure washer. I then went with just the hose and washed the rad our and used a brush you use to wash dishes. Just wondering if there is any better way to clean the rad as I don’t want this to happen again. This is the first time this has happened but also the first time I have gone for such a big ride with this machine
