I should have kept looking, I normally don’t get machines with a lot of bells and whistles, but the only one that caught my eye that day was a "Hunter edition" Sportsman WITH EPS…
.
About 180 miles into break in, with no heavier riding being done than trails, and grass fields, my 2015 SP-EPS started making a pronounced "Clunk" when you pulled up on the bars,, well it got worse,
I had my wife sit on it, and pull the bars up and down while I traced the sound.
Here the splined shaft that sticks up out of the EBS unit has loosened to the point that it moves about 1/4" up and down when you move the bars.
Luckily I am still within my 6 month warranty,
.
Am I the only one with this problem so far ? .. I read about tons of other issues, but not this one,,, YET !…
Hi everyone I’m new on here and new to quads. I’ve always had sleds and dirtbikes growing up. I was just wondering about driving on roads? I have done a bunch of reasurching about the laws and from what I have gathered is its different in certain towns and municipalities. Its plated and has full insurance coverage. Has anyone had an issue with the cops? I live in cambridge ontario.

I currently have a ’14 570 and a ’15 570 SP. I really love these machines. I have the Polaris lock and ride box on the back of both machines. One has the back rest and saddle bags (unfortunately, I didn’t realize both of these items were discontinued when I bought my second box).
For day trips, this box combined with the front storage compartment will hold everything I need and more. I have tools, spare parts, 2 1 gallon gas containers, first aid kit, etc.
I am now looking at taking some longer overnight trips (3-4 days) and would like to have more storage. I’m looking at two upgrades, but need some advice.
Adding a front storage bag for clothing and possibly food. I saw the Quadra Gear Sidewinder on a video and fell in love with it. It is exactly what I want, but then I realized it is likely too big for the front of a 570 (I also have a rack extender). Is there a similar bag or box that will offer lots of storage while offering protection from water and dust?
I would like to regain some space in the rear box by adding external fuel cans such as the rotopax. I also don’t like the idea of having food or clothes in the rear box with gas, so this would take the gas out of the box when on longer trips. What have others done? Is having the extra weight an issue when on steep hills? I could put it on the front, but then I couldn’t put the bag/box on the front and that is a higher priority.
I just wanted to open it up to suggestions. As I mentioned, the additional storage on the front is a higher priority, but the external gas can mount would also be really nice.
I just bought a new 2015 570 sportsman. I was just wondering, does anyone know what the extra cable is that is connected to the battery with an inline fuse on it? Is this for quick connect auxiliary items?
Had a good amount of seat time today on trials, rocks, mud, hills, sand, boulders….
So far LOVING it very much. LOVE the AWD on demand. Nice low end grunt. Feels very stable on even the steepest incline with rocks.
Lots of Low gear hills and down hills. Could feel the heat, but nothing outrageous.
2 things from today’s ride about the 570 that don’t care for so much…
1.) The amount of EBS. It is very sudden and right in your face. Wish Polaris cut back on it a bit, Sometimes too severe.
2.) Lots of drive line chatter/clunking when letting off throttle going down hill in low or high, and then getting back on it. I suspect it is just the slack being taken back up, but it is quite annoying.
Otherwise, I love my 570. I think it is a good beginners quad for the next few years until I am ready for the 800cc + club.
I purchased a set of Polaris grip warmers from the local shop and it came with a black rectangle button. Prior to purchasing I searched online and found kits with a white button that is round. I assumed it was to be used in the rubber plug where the choke was mounted on the non EFI bikes. Before I install this kit I figured I would ask if the white button goes in the rubber plug location or if Im just assuming. I do see the white button pop up on both "touring" and regular models during searches. LINK to white button kit
