Want a rear rack or basket for 570

Does anyone have a basket or rack mounted on the rear deck of their 570?

I want something like the Mighty Light Rear Rack. Don’t want to have to butcher the back deck but am willing to make minor mods. I haven’t found anything that will fit the 570. It would be nice if I could adapt something to the lock & ride holes. Anyone have ideas or experience custom fitting a rear basket or rack to the back deck?

thanks

Front Diff leak

Brothers 570 has developed a front diff leak. Leak seems to be coming from the area where the prop shaft attaches to the diff. Has anyone had this happen? And info on how to fix it is also greatly appreciated.

Water in gas?

Second time I have had this happen in 18 months. I don’t bury the quad in mud or water. Must of the time it is barely up to the floor boards, and typically when I am in pretty deep, it barely gets water in the clutch, let alone high enough to reach the gas tank breather hose…

I get home, I pressure wash it and make sure the cap is tight…

I never see any gas leaking from the quad.

But after many months I seem to get water in there. Starts running and idling funny, etc…

I took it to the dealer the first time, not knowing what it was, and they said almost 1/3 of the fuel in there, was water. I was like WTF?

So they drained it and all that and refilled it, etc…

I tend to not use old gas. I trailer it wherever I am going, and I full up both the truck and the quad at the same station, same pump… If I have gas left over in the 5 gallon race can, I typically throw it into the pressure washer or another vehicle, I don’t let it sit for more than a week or two…

Is this just because of crappy ethanol gas collecting water? Is there a way to be getting water in there when I wash it?

I just drained it, put in some HEET, added some of that ethanol additive, Star something, supposed to keep it from collecting water, and some fresh gas. There is a gas station down the street that sells ethanol-free 90 octane, so I will start using that…

Anything else to check or consider?

This has me perplexed and concerned… THe quad felt down on power the past couple rides, I wonder if this is why?

Clutch case protection

Seems there is a lot of exposed bits in around the front wheels on these 570s. I’ve just staked my clutch case. Stick right in the join of the inner and outer case. I was plodding through the paddock and couldn’t avoid it. Anyone put some guards in there to stop this. I do have iron Baltic bash plate to go on but wouldn’t have stopped this. This was my first real ride 6.5 hrs on it and in for repairs

why are the batteries so low on the new models?

I just purchased a 2015 sportsman 570. nothing special just the basic green one. I noticed the batteries are now located on the bottom on the frame. has this ever been an issue with anyone going underwater and the battery being submerged? sales guy said they hadn’t had any issues.
on a side note the 570 has a lot more ass than I expected it to im impressed

Aftermarket plow

I have a 2015 Sportsman 570 and I just installed a winch. Now all I need is the plow. It appears the glacier system is a bit pricey and has a good possibility of failing or welds breaking. I have read through the forums and I am not 100% sold on that system. Is there a good aftermarket plow setup that anyone would recommend? I am new to ATVs and this is my first plow so I am a noobie. Just wondering everyone’s thoughts whether the glacier is worth the money or if the aftermarket route is better. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
