So I was riding thrpugh the woods on my scrambler and to get back to my house the is a small hill with a lot of mud at the bottom I gunned it up the hill and u heard no snapping noise but halfway up only the rear wheels were spinning the front shafts were spinning but the hubs would not spin so is this a problem in my hubs and can I do the repair myself?

I have a @006 Scrambler 500, I was riding it and out of nowhere just lost all Power. It just turned off. I get no power to the Key switch. I have searched up and down. there are no Fuses, or circuit breakers anywhere. I am not sure if they are inside the ECM. can anyone help me with this issue. Id like to get back out riding before the summer is over.

I called the dealer for a part and they said they needed the vin in order to get the right part. He mentioned they made a lot of changes in that year. My question is when is the cut off date for the year. It has a tag on the front of the atv with a manufactured date of October 2000. I would imagine this is a model year 2001. All that being said, would the rear axle bearing be the same? I called originally about a handlebar post.

hey, im looking for the black wire from the cdi that is suppose to be grounded for the ignition. I have a feeling mine is loose. Where would I find this ground? Thanks!

so i just bought my first 4 wheeler. its a 97 polaris scrambler 500 4×4. bought it not running from the second owner. with very little effort, i got it running. starts up and idles great. has no power and back fires through the carb. did a little looking and i guess the cam is a problem. so yanked the valve cover off, and sure enough, the exhaust lobe is warn.
my question is, i want to put the h.o cam, or a hotcam in
do i just buy a replacment cam and rocker for a 01 sportsman 500 ho?
what jets should i put in the carb? stock h.o jets?
i saw where the h.o carbs are a little bigger compared to the non h.o
would i be better off getting a hot cam? i didnt buy it to go mudding, or to make a hotrod (i have a 10 sec camaro and a corvette for that ;]) me and my buddies like riding trails, and climbing hills. however they all run modded banshee’s so id like to atleast somewhat keep up.
