Radiator relocation kit?

I’m thinking about getting radiator kits for the scramblers.. I have a few questions about them….
Are they all the same.. Or is it.one of those things you pay for what ya get…

Which brand is better?

What are you guys using…

Any help.

850 crankshaft issue

I have a 2010 850 xp that has the famous crankshaft walking issue, the transmission coupler scrapes the back of the engine case and oil pump cover. Can you replace the crankshaft and repair this issue or do you have to replace the entire engine? Any help on what to do and where to get parts would be great, Thanks.

found flange nuts on skid? what are they too?

hey guys, been absent for awhile, moved to Pittsburgh pa for new job, left the scrammy at my parents for 5 months. Finally brought it down here and i’m getting ready to do an oil change. I climbed under there and I found 3 flange nuts floating on the skid plate between it and the frame? I had to run out last night and buy a new set of torx head sockets (lost my old ones) so im about to start tearing stuff down to look around.

did a quick search but the only thing I found was loose diff bolts. could the flange nuts be from the diff bolts?

any idea or advice will be appreciated. I will take some pics and post progress later…

so damn frustrating, I love this quad but its only a year old and less than 1500 miles, things already falling apart :lame:

why did they get away from metal skid plates

Don’t tell me weight saving since Polaris has the heaviest quads in the industry, a few extra pounds wouldn’t mean shit….gotta be profit driven and screw you end user mentality?

We don’t have any rocky trails around here, just dirt trails and when we boondock running over downed tree/stumps, etc…but a park we rode at Friday they had a large section they had dump trucks dump loads of rocks/boulders to transverse…extremely fun stuff IMO. After the first line I took through there I went back around for another line and what do I see…the equivilant of a cheese grater that left a lot of my under framed skid plate curled up all over the rocks..I stood there looking at the trail of plastic I’d left and literally shook my head and laughed at the stupidity of modern engineering.

Wish they’d go back to utilizing strength in area’s that need it (under frame) for example…just stupid using plastic. I know I’ve dug sticks/branches from inside the frame (engine/tranny) area that shoulda never been able to get up in there in the first place, and to think I’d either have to buy some sheets of aluminum and fabricate a set, or take it up the ass for the $600-1000 to buy a kit is ridiculous…makers used to build strong quads (metal belly’s, metal CV guards)…why would they change that??

2014 850 fast!

Hey I just bought a 2014 Scrambler 850 XP and it is super fast compare to my 570 witch has clutch kit installed. My 570 takes off faster but then get’s left in the dust by my scrambler. The 570 is also a beast to climb sand dunes but does not come close to the 850 power.

Just order QSC clutch kit

so I ordered a QSC clutch kit last night from RVSperformance, hopefully it will get here to Alaska next week before the weekend so I can test it out. Any recommendations on shims to use. I’m running 30" backs skinny’s. Not sure if which one or all of them. Thanks

Throttle stock

I had some problems with the fail: throttle stock, and I found out that there was water/mud in my throttle body, I cleanded it, and changed the gas-cabel, and now it is running perfect again.
Does anyone now how the water can get in there, or have tryed it themselve?
My idea is that it comes in, when I clean the ATV with pressure washer, but im not sure :Thinkingof_:

Thanks, Lars
