Hey guys so I have the chance to get a brand new 2014 for 11,500 Canadian dollars or a 2016 for 14k. Should I wait for the 16?
I was originally gonna buy the 2015 but they sold out**and no other dealer or anyone has a used one.
The 2015 was 13.500*
I called one place they have a brand new 2014 for 11.5k
Is there any differences? In the 2 model Years?
Thanks guys please let me know since I want to buy one soon
Dropped it off on June 16 for it’s first service at 12hrs which would be a break-in service as well.
Also wanted them to fix the rubbing handlebar issue and glowing red exhaust.
I requested NGK plugs to be switched for the autocrap stock plugs.
They called me within a few days and said polaris is sending a riser for bars, new front plastics, tougher springs and gasket for exhaust.
I patiently waited until July 1 and decided to pop in to see what status was.
He put riser, springs, gasket and plastic fronts. Were waiting on decals from Polaris because on back order. Haven’t done the service yet, still waiting on NGK plugs to come.
This was at 11:30.
They called me at 4:00
And said decals came in, plugs and ready to pickup.
Bill was $325 because of plugs $16 each. He said breakin look great. They took belt housing off and inspected, perfect. Said changed oil and filter, coolant perfect. Drained front and rear diff. Put a magnet in fluid, no shavings or other particulate material.
So they put those fluids back in!
I was shocked that they would save a few bucks to re-use frt and rr diff fluids.
I told him I was uncomfortable with that and wanted fluids changed regardless especially since I already paid the labor to drain it.
Bill was now $363 for fluids.
I went to pick it up yesterday July 3.
They loaded it up and oil was leaking from underneath.
Keep in mind I was cool attitude because my wife, nephew and dog were in truck. Otherwise my past would kick in and they wouldn’t be enjoying the 4th.
I told the service manager, which was my writer this whole time, if I can show him something on the atv.
Oil was dripping from the plastic skid plate running down everywhere. He said technician probably spilled oil between plate and bottom engine. Which is sloshing around and seeping out of the drain holes.
I told him if he dropped something off regardless of the hrs and it was clean wouldn’t he expect it clean when picked up?
He agreed and apologized.
I asked him for a rag and he came out with one for me. Kinda expected him to send it for a quick wash and drop the plastic guard to clean the oil spill. But he just handed me the rag. While I cleaned it I expressed my concern about their quality of service.
He again apologized.
When I got home to unload, there was a drops of oil in the truck. Unloaded and parked in garage. Came back out an hour later more oil. Put cardboard down, more oil.
I then started to take pictures of the mess underneath and between plastics showing oil and grime. While doing this I noticed they only greased the visible zerk fittings.
And finally I saw they pinch the belt housing rubber gasket between the cover and housing. It actually loops around one of the bolts. You’d have to see the last pic to understand what I’m talking about.
Skypowersports has multiple locations in central florida.
I purchased it closest location to my house and serviced it location on between my house and our camping grounds/riding area thinking if pick it up on the way there for July 4th events we all have out there.
I ended up taking it back home to drop off because if the oil mess and not indeed everything else later.
Didn’t want to ride it because dirt would stick even worse causing all sorts of funk build up.
Monday I’m contacting the GM at my purchasing location to see if they have a district manager or someone who can re-do everything they did but at the other location. Minimum they need to drop plastic skid plate, clean oil spill and replace belt housing gasket.
But would I be wrong in wanting everything re-done considering the workmanship they’ve shown so far?
Please look at this photobucket link of the mess and gasket.
Having issues with my scramblers front diff ever since I broke an axle.
went for a ride and broke an axle, bought a set of Rhino axles for the front and replaced the stocks. I noticed a stiffness in the front next time I tried it. I took apart the front diff and found the bearing had flat spots, my Sprague was damaged and the armature was bent.
everything has been rebuilt and all new. now the front binds when I’m in 2×4. even with the bike in Neutral, rolling down a slight slop, it will come to a stop like the front brakes are being applied.
runs ok in 4wd. anyone ever any ideas before I pulled the front diff out again?
So I have a 2015 scrambler 1000 with about 200 miles on it. When I hit the throttle and get it up to speed and then let of the throttle and let it come to a rolling stop without brakes I get a noise. Maybe it’s the engine braking system but it makes a winding down noise for a minute. Anyone have any ideas what it could be or if it’s normal?
