new to can am from Minnesota

:th_smiliewavey: I just bought a 2015 Outlander 650xt this year. It’s my first ever brand new machine. I’m coming from a 2000 arctic cat 500 I bought used a few years ago and swamped it and made the fatal mistake of running it once we pulled it out without checking the oil for water. Drove for another 40 or so miles and got a nasty knock, probably main or rod bearings. Still haven’t messed with it since I decided to just go buy new.

So far the only mods are a mirror, rubber bump stop for the winch, and I just recently put in new brakes because the stock brakes were GONE after less than 475 miles. I understand that’s common but the manufacturer should be ashamed of themselves. That’s pathetic. I replaced them with race driven pads based on what I’ve read here but haven’t had a chance to try them out on a trail yet. I’ve also taken off most of the stickers so I can appreciate the pearl white paint job.

Mainly just checking out the forums for maintenance tips and more info on the machine.

New Member From VA

Hows it going guys, Im new to the forum and out of chesapeake VA. I purchased my first Can-Am last year and have had nothing but great success with her. I currently ride a 2010 Outlander 800r xtp. Minor modification include fully snorkled, Muzzy slip-on, Digi tune programmer, and 28in mudzillas on ITP312s.The future hold some major changes for the bike though! If there is anyone in southeastern VA that wants to get together and ride feel free to make contact. Happy to be apart of the family, Cheers

New Outlander Owner

Good day all,
New to the Canam Family, but not a stranger to BRP.
I’ve just made the switch from a Polaris Sportsman 800X2.
2014 Outlander Max XT 800r

Just purchased a wrap around rear cargo box with tail light and passenger hand warmers…..which brings me to my first question……where do i get key’d power for the heated grips as well as the best place to tie into the tail/brake wire.

Im sure there’ll be more question, but thats enough to get me started.

Thanks

New to the site and Can-Am

Hey yall. I’ve been riding a rancher 420, sold it to go to IRS foreman, these bad boys started catching my eye more and more while I was saving my change. So instead of the foreman when it came time to buy I purchased a 2016 outlander 850XT brushed aluminum. I love it so far. I only have 3.5 hrs on it so far, picked it up last firday trying to get 10 on it before I go to black mountain on the 16th. Anyways this thing is a beast. Look forward to relating with all yall.:clapsmilie:

New to ATVs and Can-Ams

Hey, I just bought my first ATV…2016 Outlander 650 XT, what an awesome machine especially for a newbie like me. It all started with me riding my neighbor’s boy’s DS90 while he was on his XMR 1000. Next thing I know I’m we’re down at the store test riding several machines and after riding the Can-Am I knew that was the one.

So far I’ve just been playing around in the woods behind my house getting use to it…can’t wait to actually get out on some trails.

Looking forward to learning from you all and see you out on the trails soon.
