Beautiful Sunday

Took advantage of nice spring weather and went for a little tour Sunday, only about 30 miles, but was nice to finally get out and ride without 4 layers of clothes on. This is a small lake north of me that I spend a lot of time on in the winter ice fishing.

Quad working again

Now I’ve done enough posts I thought you might like a picture of my stock quad at work. I use it fairly often around the yard. Today I felled a tree as part of clearing an area for the new workshop. Logged it up and now ready to split and go in the shed for winter after next. I like to start cutting wood as soon as winter over so it gets 2 summers to dry under cover.
Box on front is a carcass tray used when out deer stalking to bring animals back to camp. Another tray goes on the back so I can carry two or three at a time.
Got to modify the gun rack as it restricts the steering when the rifles are in place.
Other than that she’s now going great after a new one way bearing, re-grease the primary and a few other maintenance things. Note the new step. Very expensive for a bit of plastic but the old one was cracked and it bugged me, so a new one fitted.

Big Belts / Mountain goats

Hey all-

Did a little Friday morning cruise in the belts, they are east of town about 20 minutes. 3800ft to 7k, couldn’t take higher trails as the snow was too deep. Did a little over 50 miles, was a huge diversity of scenery and pretty country. Came across a nice little herd of Mountain Goats. They are so stout, look at the hump, solid muscle for leaping around. They were out feeding on the new green up today. Real lush forest, to dry south aspect wintering grounds. Enjoy!
