Alright guys just got my performance series black out exhaust and hmf optimizer. i got to mess around with the tuning features for 30 mins before heading to work. Couldn’t get it right. I’m at work now and am trying to search the web for info on this but i cant find anything. Can anybody with a FI machine tell me what kind of settings they are running?
Also, I understand how modes 1-3 work and I kind of understand how modes 4 and 5 work but I feel a little cloudy on modes 4 and 5. Anybody have a simple explanation? Thanks for any feedback!!
I am planning on putting heated grips and a Terra 35 winch on my Rancher, I know these details are vague but if y’all need I can find the voltage/amps/watts or whatever. I need to know if a stock battery can take all of this.
Alright guys so I bought a 2013 rancher 420 at (independent rear suspension model) this past summer from a guy that worked on a pipeline. It had hardly any miles and I checked everything over and it was a super clean bike. Got it for a steal at 3600. Any ways I’m not a fan of the Es/auto dual clutch transmission in the at’s engine and I have also had problems where it seems to slip into neutral while riding wheelies. Also I don’t like the terrible high gearing. I was wondering if it is possible to swap the engine on it to where I can have a foot shift engine instead of the dual clutch. I am a long time Honda fan who started on a recon, Next I went to the 400 at (should have been a lemon law) that my dad sold me and had nothing but problems until one day the tranny blew. And now the rancher 420 at I’m hoping the newer at model is nothing like its predacesor! Anyways if anyone has any input on this it would be greatly appreciated!
Hi guys. For Christmas I’m getting a full gasket kit for my 03 400ex. What a joy. But the head gasket, valve cover gasket, oil filter cover have all been slowly leaking almost a year now. While it’s apart im going to file my clutch basket I have a suspicion it’s notched, replace the clutch and throttle cable, and paint the frame. I have been debating getting a new piston as well, but I am entirely unfamiliar with piston stuff. I replaced the timing chain with a crf450 timing chain but I’ve never opened the bottom end. That was my first and only time in the top and I stripped out like 4 bolts. Anyways I don’t want to send it to a machine shop, and from my reading ands and my brothers slow 400, I don’t think there is much gain from a higher comp with the stock bore. So will any increase in piston size require machining or is there just a thinner sleeve to use? I’m also trying to stay cheap, I’ve seen some after market piston for like 100-150 but it’s just a piston is that all I need?

I have a 2014 Rancher 420 AT IRS. I’m looking at doing a SRA Gear reduction, and I know its the secondary gears, but I’m not exactly sure what to buy, or where to buy it from?
So I have a 400ex stock beside k&n filter with lid on and full white brothers exhaust. I got the quad like this 5 years ago. Today I took the carb apart to clean it and seen that my main jet is 155 and pilot 38 these seem way too small? Iam at 1000 elevation but ride the sand dunes which is at 400. I seen the post by Josh on here. I plan to remove the air lid now also now. I’m thinking of going to a 165 main and 4 pilot jet what do you think?
