FMF PowerBomb with HMF Silencer – Need Ideas

I bought an 06 TRX450ER that has an OEM header pipe with an HMF Slip-On. I recently bought an FMF PowerBomb header and went to install it yesterday and noticed that the header slides OVER the silencer and I know it is supposed to be the other way around.

My question is, can I make this work with some kind of rubber gasket around the seam with hose clamps (similar to the garden hose trick on 2 strokes) or am I forced to spend the $300ish for a new FMF Powercore 4 silencer?

Thanks in advance for your ideas/input.

Thumb Fatigue

I was thinking about some improvements I could share with you that had really enhanced my riding experience. One that came to mind was replacing the thumb throttle. While my wife and oldest son prefer to utilize a twist. Not one of my favorites. My youngest son and myself use a trigger off a jet ski. It was an improvement that allowed me an extra couple of hours ride time because my thumb wasnt cramping or just wore out. My youngest had trouble completing races until we installed one on his bike. Some do not like it. I personally feel more in control being able to actually lock both thumbs around my grips. It also gives the option of using different fingers or all your fingers without the danger of whiskey throttle. Hope this is helpful.

Rad location question

I have a 2007 Honda Rincon 680 that i want to do a Rad kit on but my issue is if i use one of the standard kits i wont be able to keep my Boss speaker tube on the front of the bike. While looking at all the pics on line about Rad kits, I see that they are all tilted back like 45 degrees which takes up alot of the front rack space.

So my question is. Does the rad kit have to have that angle or can it stand up more to give more space on the rack. Dont want to lose the boss sound system but need to do the rad kit.

Skid plates with a plow mount.

Hey guys and gals I have a pretty specific question but there are alof of us so let’s see. I own a 2014 rancher fm. I currently have on it a warn 2500 rt winch and a warn front mount plow system. I am looking for skids as most of my riding is at hilltown riders in upstate ny and there are a lot of rocks. I would like to leave the plow mount on as it is a huge pain to get it in and not have to cut the skid plates up to much. Looking for reccomendations. I am attaching a pic for some help.Attachment 24943Attachment 24944
