Pictures of RZRs at Moses Lake Sand Dunes?
I’m including Moses lake Sand Dunes in the UTV Guide Book for Eastern Washington, but the pictures I took while I was there didn’t turn out very well.
I got some decent aerial imagery of the staging area, but it was kind of late in the day so the rest of the pics just don’t look very good.
Would anyone be willing to post up some good high rez photos of RZRs at Moses Lake, with permission for me to use them in the book?
That would be much appreciated.
Where to camp and ride in Wyoming south central,Snowy Range.
Border Crossing and Toronto?
How bad is traveling through Toronto late on a Saturday morning? I will have a 40′ motorhome pulling a 20′ trailer and it’s the busiest Interstate in the world. Some friends traveling with us will have large 5th wheel toy haulers also.

UTV Guide Book to Western Washington – Introduction!
I have been driving off-road vehicles since 2005. I started with a single-track motorcycle, moved on to ATVs shortly thereafter, worked my way up through several sizes of ATV, and then eventually bought a Polaris RZR S 800 in 2010.
I have traveled far and wide to many different states and covered many types of terrain. I’ve ridden several sand dune areas. I’ve gone up to 11,000 feet in the mountains of Utah. I’ve crawled over rocks and through mud at the base of Mt. Rainier. I’ve bogged down in the mud, crossed fast-moving streams, charged down countless miles of service road, gotten stuck in the snow, and made myself dizzy sick pulling donuts on frozen mud puddles.
During all of these riding adventures, I found that there was always a considerable amount of effort and doubt involved in learning about new riding areas.
Information about each one must be extracted from various sources including government websites, internet forums, public rides hosted by local clubs, etc. This information comes in many different formats, and with differing levels of completeness, accuracy, and legibility. Often, the best way to be introduced to a new area is to find someone who is familiar with it, and ask them to be your guide.
This book endeavors to be your virtual guide.

South Dakota Plates for Non-Residents
I chose a county in South Dakota that was the nearest to where I live in case I needed to make an appearance in person. It turns out everything can be done through the mail. I e-mailed (uctreas2@iw.net) them with my request and here is the e-mail I got back from the Union County Treasurer about the procedure to register and get my South Dakota plates:
Attached are 3 forms needed to apply for license plates on your ATV. Please feel free to call 605-356-2391 with questions.
1. State of SD Application for Motor Vehicle Title Section III. Fill in names & SS # of EVERY person listed on your title as owner. Fill in address, VIN # & all vehicle info in section IV. Sign & Date at the bottom.
2. Affadavit. Fill in the bottom affidavit ONLY (Interstate Title -Non Negotiable) with year, make Serial #. This form must be SIGNED and notarized.
3, Four Wheel All Terrain Vehicle Affadavit: Again, fill in Make, Model, VIN & write in WHO installed the accessories to make the ATV Street Legal. It must have Mirror, Horn, Exhaust, Headlights, Lic Plate light, lights & be at least 200 cc. This form must ALSO be signed & Notarized.
Mail all three completed forms ALONG WITH a COPY of your title & COPIES of Drivers License of each person listed as an owner on the title. Include your phone # so we can call you if we have questions.
As far as costs; I estimate your fees to be $60 to $70 which includes mailing your plate. You can either enclose a check (we will refund any overpayment) or we will call you for a credit card once we have all the paperwork.
IT IS EASIEST to come up to our office with your title & photo ID’s & we will do all the paperwork & notarizing for you. Once you are "in the system" renewal of you plate license each year is easily accomplished by mail.
