New guy to the forum. Just bought a used 2009 Grizzly 550 4×4, Camo. I’ll have to post some pictures after I give it a really good cleaning and shine her up a bit.
I’m looking for some threads/info on how to….
1)Change the oil/Best oil for it
2)Best spark plugs for it
3) Advice on tires? Mainly trail/mud use to get to hunting spots
4) and any other advice/tips you have.
Hello, I bought a 99 600 about a month ago for me and my kids to ride. This is my first big quad. I typically ride dirt bikes etc. My machine has not been maintained very well so I went through and changed all of the fluids, replaced the front and rear brakes and just did the front wheel bearings. It looks pretty good but I believe it will need an engine overhaul in the future. I have been doing a lot of reading here and gotten some help with some of its issues. I am a machinist and small engine tech…and love old 2 stroke street bikes! Some of my other rides are 74 GT550, DS250, KDX220, ATTEX208 etc. My son has a little DS80 that he is learning on. I also enjoy working on and restoring old tractors.

Hello everyone, new to the forum, I have been a Honda man for years and have made the switch to Yamaha, after many hours getting all the info I could and alot from this forum I decided to purchase the new grizz 700 se today, Honda just could not compete with the grizz for the money and options and power, I hope I haven’t made a big mistake, the Honda I still have 2000 450es and I got 15 years out of her and has never left me walking and still works good to this day, but my arms and back cannot handle the rough ride anymore, I do a lot of towing and I think the grizz does not have the creeper gear the Honda has which will be missed. thanks

Hi. Went down local Yamaha shop to pick up parts for my motorcycles & came home with a 550 Grizzly. The guy made me a great deal on a new 2014. I have had dozens of bikes, dirt & street but this is the first 4 wheeler. So far its been great. Only have 250 miles on it. Checked valve clearance & went over everything else pretty good last night. Let the mods begin:banana:

Hello all. I just purchased a ’99 Grizzly that is in pretty good shape. Thought I better introduce myself as I’m sure I will have many questions and prefer to learn from others experience and knowledge and mistaks. Saves a lot of time and cuss words.

I am new to the site and recently acquired a 1996 Yamaha Big Bear 350 4×4 from a friend. Just put new tires on it and noticed that it is missing the wheel caps on the front wheels. I am assuming these are important to help keep dust/mud out of the center nut. Anyone have these or know where to get them?
Well not new, been on here for over a year but haven’t posted, mostly browsed. Figured i’d do a proper introduction. :peace: and to get to 10 posts so I can post pics. Anyway, i’m from Wasilla, Alaska, have a 2014 Grizzly 700 with all the mods in my sig. Love the machine! Learned alot from this site, glad to be part of the forum.
