Well I have been on atvs my entire life I always enjoyed going in the mud. I have had a rzr s for 2 years now and I have went through all kinds of mud. Until recently I have had a blast doing it. This last time I buried the machine in a deep solid clay hole. I have now spent 7 hours cleaning the machine. I have spent more time removing the skid plate and cleaning underneath. And I have noticed a trend of issues. The machine has always had full skids but the bottom is starting to rust I am sure from the constant soaking of wet mud. I noticed my rear brake pads wore out because the calipers were so full of mud they must have been dragging the whole way home because they wore at an angle like the caliper stuck. I have replaced all the bushings twice. All the wheel bearings twice. Ball joints. I’ve rod ends. Broken axles. I know this stuff happens but I feel a trend of severe wear coinciding with me doing heavy mudding vs just trail riding. Now I am not sure if any of u ever feel like is t worth it to keep mudding. That’s how I feel I have a 8 month old so time and money are very limited and I feel most my time is spent cleaning or repairing the machine. I have spent probably 10 hours cleaning and repairing machine this last time to the 1.5 hours I rode not a very good ratio. Just kind of venting because I am sad to think about not mudding but j am feeling like I have to so I can still enjoy the sport
Can anybody give me some info on Tower Trax? Got a stock rzr 800 with no lift (yet), bringing the kids to ride next weekend, one will be on a Bayou 300, the other on a little Chinese 110. Someone already told me to avoid the blue trail, are there any trails that they’ll be ok on? Even if they can just drive around the deep holes. If not I might just head to muddy joes.
Need to upgrade my front axles on my xp1000, i have a s3 5" lift on 32" STI outbackmax tires…my right front axle is keep snapping at the cup…so i need something stronger. Trying to decide between, Cobra, Titan, or Gorilla Axles…but is gorilla axles really worth $400 for one??
going to put the 8” s3 lift on and was wonder what everyones thoughts were on the trailing arm addition. is it worth the extra 900 $ or stay with stock? anyone with this lift and pics would be a great help.
