How’s everyone like the new set up?

Well, I decided after a few sips of Colonel EH Taylor that I’d relocate my stereo and switches in my 14 900 eps. What do yall think?

So yes the rocker switch above the factory starter switch wouldn’t work after the hole was cut… probably because of old man Taylor, anyway, so we just located it over and down and filled the existing hole with a switch for future LED interior lighting.

Looking for light recommendations…

I am looking for some offroad lights for the top of my roll cage. Not really interested in a bar, I would rather get 4 individual round lights. Thinking two spots in the middle and a flood on either end. Something like the PIAA lights except cheaper(hopefully!) and as bright as possible. Any recommendations that you have on lights or mounts would be great. Pictures are better! Thanks in advance.

Jeff’s Stereo build

Thought I would share my stereo build for others to see. I always like to help others with ideas just as others helped me gather ideas for my build. (This is a bit wordy-sorry)

My initial idea was to go with a wetsounds sound bar and then the sub between the seats. After researching a lot and looking at a lot of different set-ups I decided I could build my own and have a better set-up for cheaper. I have a $1000 budget so to do the Rev10 and a sub with amp I would be over. I looked at a top Sidexsideaudio made that i really liked. It was a 6-speaker over head unit that would allow room for me to chop my cage and still have head room. I would have bought theirs but apparently they are too busy to take my money so that inspired me to build my own. I mapped out an idea, drew it in autocad, cut it out, fitted it, and then traced it to the plywood after some minor tweaks.

I decided to build a 6 speaker overhead unit with a small marine radio that is bluetooth capable. It also has an aux. USB input so i can use a memory stick too if needed although i plan on primarily using my phone with bluetooth. For equipment I’m using Powerbass 6.5" coaxials, a Powerbass 5-channel amp, and the SSV glovebox sub box with a punch P1 sub. It might be a bit of a long build with a lot of changes as i go. Here are a few pictures of the start of my project.

The Goodies.

Layout begins!

Still trying to settle on my layout

Ordering switches and kind of confused with relays… Help!

Ok I so far I have a dome light, Totron 30" LED Light bar, and going to have 2- 3" cubes mounted top center of cage for backup lights. I’m getting ready to order switches and I’m kind of confused about relays. I see these "HELLA, ISO WEATHERPROOF RELAY" that look like a good fit for my application being there subject to moisture? I’m not 100% sure if for the little LED dome light I would need to use a relay or not and I’m assuming def need one for the LED Light bar and the LED 3" cubes? I’m still trying to research wiring these up as it’s been a very long time since I’ve used relays, but as I’m going I’m starting to remember everything.

JL audio Marine-rated Bluetooth adapter

by far the happiest i have been with my rzr stereo.

just installed a JL Audio MBT-RX hooked to a pyle 2 channel amp with 2 Kicker KM654LCW and i am impressed with it good clear sound and the range is awesome.

i had a JBL PRV-175 mounted in my cup holder and no amp. my biggest complaints were it was super sensitive to battery voltage. had it hooked right to the battery and every time i would start my rzr it would turn off and back on and i would have to re-sync the Bluetooth(major pain). also couldn’t get enough sound out of the speakers to hear them while riding.

now with my new system it connects to my phone automatically, and stays connected even while starting my rzr and the speakers are alot louder and clear.

i wired in 2 switches. 1 switch powers up the amp and the Bluetooth controller and the other switch(mute switch) cuts the power from the first switch to the amp. this allows me to be ripping around and when i come to a stop mute the speakers so i can chat and what not then when i take back off then turn the amp back on and still have the music playing and not have to wait for the Bluetooth to reconnect and push play on my phone.
