Ok last night i destroyed the front u-joint that connects to the front differential. I shattered the yoke that connects to the drive shaft and really did a number on the yoke that is connected to the differential. So my question is how hard is it to remove th yoke from the differential and replace it. Also is there any issue with just removing the front drive shaft and just driving in 2 wheel drive until I am replace the u-joint?

My son has a 2000 Bear Tracker. I think it is a 250, 2 wheel drive. Has always started and ran good. Last fall, it was getting harder and harder to start, and then finally it wouldn’t start. Checked for spark and it was very weak and intermittent.
Put a new pick up coil in and it fired right up. Bright blue spark, started and ran great. He took it on a 10 mile or so drive, and the carb came loose in the rubber tube. I picked him up and when we got home, put the carb back the way it was supposed to be and it wouldn’t start. Once again, has weak intermittent spark.
Tried a new plug.
Tried a known good external coil.
Tried a known good cdi box.
What should we check next?
Rectifier?
Could a bad rectifier ruin the new pick up coil we put in?

I just purchased this Bruin and need to remove the fuel tank cover and tank. I got the 4 rivet/screws out but can’t figure out how to get it disconnected from the front fender/cover piece. there are two tabs that I’m afraid of breaking. What’s the secret? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Just purchased a 2001 Big Bear 4X4…very nice condition. I want to change all fluids. Service manual I have show an exterior oil filter but the oil filter I have is an internal filter. Question is: Where is the internal oil filter located???
