Looking for a set of tires for my 1992 big bear. has anyone tried the Big Horn copies? The ones made by kenda or Wanda I know they’re not Radials tires but do they actually measure true to size?
I have searched and searched for someone that has a plow mount for their Kodiak 400 but have been unsuccessful. I have a CycleCountry push tube plow. I think I am either going to have to fabricate a bracket or purchase one off ebay. I prefer making my own. does anyone have pictures of the bracket/mount that they could show me? or even measure the mount for me ;0) I have been googling over and over for weeks. Maybe, I just suck at googling… But this forum kept coming up with google. I have also tried searching through and searching multiple key words through these forums. Any help or guidance is appreciated. I will show off my rig as soon as I get enough posts. BTW. I’m new and my first post 😉

I have a 87 big bear i just rebuilt the engine with a 10.25:1 wiseco piston, 2" PVC snorkel, and have 28×9" Titan 589 tires.
Just got it running, runs good has alot of power. just wondering what most people see for exhaust temps right out from the head, I have a laser thermometer and i see 900 degrees F right where it comes out of the head, about 750 degrees around the bend and about 350-450 degrees where it connects to the muffler pipe.
Seems pretty hot to me, kinda gets my legs hot when riding.
I have a air/fuel ratio gauge on it and it shows im idling a little lean, and my full throttle is a little rich, I plan on changing my pilot jet up a couple sizes and bringing my main jet down a few sizes.
So water was inside my gas tank as well as my air box on my 06 Kodiak 450, it would smoke and shut off, after I drained the gas out & add new one its stays on but it starts to smoke whenever I press the gas, any ideas of what the problem could be?

Hey guys, new here and new to the ATV world. I have a 2004 Kodiak 400 for my wife to ride and she complains non stop about the rough ride. i didnt realize the solid axle would be so rough when i bought it. I tried adjusting the travel with the bottom spring keeper with no luck.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Also if someone could tell me how long the front and rear shocks are i would appreciate it.
Ive read of guys putting snowmobile shocks in and it helping a ton, but i have no idea on the length of shock i need to buy.
Here’s my rig. Custom lift made by XFab, Snorkeled, relocated radiator, Gorilla Axles up front. 400 engine punched to 500. 30" Black Mamba tires. Not a fast bike by any means but leave it in first and it’ll crawl through anything

I installed new shoes on front and found that only one wheel cylinder is working on left side I took other off checked and cleaned it reinstalled still not working after bleeding brakes. I then raised the shoe with a small screwdriver and it worked as soon as I put pressure back on it stopped working any ideas ? " right side is working fine"
I have an 2006 Big Bear 400 and the 4×4 has not worked since I bought it a couple of years ago. Now the CV joints are making noise and an u-joint on the drive shaft in clanking. I would like to remove everything 4×4 related. Is it possible to just remove the various components and simply have a 2 wheel dive machine. I just don’t think it makes economic sense to replace the parts, and I am happy with operating in 2 wheel drive only.
