Dynatek fs programmable ignition for 2014 honda 400x

I’m interested in the Dynatek ignition for my 400x. I know barely anything has changed on the 400 since 99 but my question is the programmer is only for years up to 2008. From reading on here it seems it would work since nothing changed on them really but is that the case? Would the Dynatek ignition fit on my year and work, 2014, even tho its sold only up to 2008? ’86-’87 trx 350 starter reduction gears

So I finally got around to rebuilding the motor on one of my Hondas. I bought a starter reduction gear set off eBay and never noticed the guy sent me an ’87-89. Gears seem to be the same but the gear that rides over the flywheel will hit the flywheel if I use it, making me think possibly the shaft is a bit shorter on the ’87 than the ’86. Can anybody confirm that? Or is my flywheel not fully seated? Sure looks seated properly. I don’t want to pull it and re-tighten it if the reduction gears are different.

first trx 250es

Hey guys, do you know of a free service manual for a 2003 trx 250es? I just got one and the rear end is really bad I tore it down but I can’t figure out how to get the pinion gear out. Thanks!

1999 TRX 250 Recon — gear indicator addition?

Have a 1999 TRX250 Recon (manual shift) my wife uses it and she has trouble keeping track of what gear she is in. Is there a way to add a gear indicator similar to that on the late model ES bikes? See image attached for reference.

I don’t want to try to put ES on it but am thinking that a gear indicator panel would help her to enjoy the trail a bit more.

1999 TRX 250 Recon — Add 12v Aux

I recently acquired a pair of 1999 TRX250 Recons and would like to add a 12v port to run a GPS/charge a phone while on the trail. Is there an easy/recommended way and location to add a 12v aux port that functions well and looks somewhat OEM?

1988 fourtrax carb issues

Hello all I have a 1988 300 fourtrax I rescued from the scrap yard. Rebuilt the top end last year and went ahead and orderd new carb fixed some wiring issues and ended up having to replace Cdi to get good spark. I bought the carb off of eBay for like 70 dollars and was real concerned about how well it would perform. At first it did great but then gas started leaking from the overflow. I’ve taken it apart more times then I can count and cleaned valve and seat. Same thing always ends up happening after awhile it either leaks gas like a siff from overflow or the float sticks shut and bike runs out of gas. Just wondering if anyone had any advice on what to do cuz I’m at a complete loss. I feel as though there’s a way to better tune the carb but I guess I’m missing it if there is. So far I’ve put new fuel line vent hose, in line filter and new petcock valve(other one was full of trash). I’m pretty mechanically inclined have always had boats and wheelers and have never been to the point of wanting to bang my head on a wall with a carb issue so bad in my life. Any help would be appreciated. Also this may or may not help but ran it at the lease for two days and it ran as it should never leaked gas even pulled me my daughter and a deer back to camp about 2 miles and never flinched. The next day we we’re doing chores around the lease and it didn’t sputter just died. Took bowl off of carb and it was a little dirty but the spark plug on the other looked fouled to me real black not neccesarily oil black but just running really rich. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Honda 330ex loud tick

I am new to this forum so I hope I’m posting in the right spot. I recently rebuilt my 300ex with all the goodies. It has a 330bbk kibble white +1 intake valves and springs ported and polished hot cam amr rev box and a 400ex carb. There seems to be a very loud tick coming from the top end. It is louder on the cam chain side. It does not tick at idle only when revving. What could it be? Also what’s a good starting point for jetting this beast? Lastly why is it that past about quarter throttle it sounds like it’s at full throttle. It goes from nice idle to bassicly screaming

400ex arms on a 250ex need some help

Hey guys, my older son had a mishap with my little guys 250ex and broke the right side a arms. I was reading through that thread and others for using the 400ex arms. It looks like the lower arms are a direct fit to the chassis and just are about 2 inches longer. Now in Sykos thread he said that the 400ex uppers were a little too wide but also mounted two inches outward compared to where the 250ex uppers mounted. So my question is does anyone know how much longer if they are at all the 400 upper arms vs the 250ex arms? I’m was just thinking if they were close to the same I could make some brackets like he did but using the 250ex uppers with the 400 lowers. Lmk if I’m crazy but it didn’t seem too far fetched after taking my sons quad apart and doing some measuring.

93 TRX300FW Charging system

I have a 93 TRX300FW with what seems to be a charging issue. I changed the Stator with a new/used one and put in a new voltage regulator. And still having the same issue. Just to let you know I have a winch on the same battery as well. Is the winch to much for the battery and charging system?
