300ex namura bbk

Is namura a good company? I’ve got their 330 big bore kit. What else should I get? I’m not looking for high hp. I want reliable. New timing chain? New stage 1 hot cam? I’m getting new crank and balancer bearings. What is a good brand? Stock Honda? Koyo? Ntn? And good seals? Thank you for your time and knowledge!

Looking for rear axle carrier pinch bolts for TRX90

Howdy all! I am a teacher in SW Missouri and have a small engine repair class. I have a student who is working on a TRX90 (2005) that someone has welded the rear axle to the carrier… effectively making it solid and non-adjustable. Well, we cut the weld and are attempting to put it back together the correct way. BUT, all of the schematics that I look at don’t show the bottom 2 pinch bolts that hold the axle to the grooved holes on the carrier. The left bolt also keeps the tensioner in place. Could someone find out what size that bolt is, or post a schematic that shows it?
We are missing the bottom 2 pinch bolts and need to know what size to order or find.

Thank you!

So I pulled the valve cover and here’s what I found.. Any thoughts I think she needs some new rockers..

300ex connecting rod

My cylinder liner broke and was pulled down on top of the crankshaft. After getting it torn apart the con rod is blued from the small end down to the start of the big end. Is this normal or has it been over heated? The con rod does not look twisted or stretched. Is it still serviceable and what should I look for. Thank you for your time and help!

1992? TRX250x Decompression Woes..with pics!

i recently acquired a trx250x that bears no marking that i can find of what year it is exactly, can someone point me into a new place to look. ive look on both sides of the gas tank, front steering stem, front bumper, by the footpegs etc…

the clutch was completely toast in it so i split the case to put a new one in and….upon re-assembly i broke the lobe that has a spring on it right next to the kick starter, that then runs via a cable to the top right side of the head. i was told that it is a decompression thingy…where do i buy a new one because well…i broke it.

currently waiting on a new gasket to get here, my local parts store said the actual decompression assembly is no longer being made and i cant find any online. any help is greatly appreciated!

this is the only way i could get picture urls on here?

1996 trx300a 2wd

If I don’t have enough of projects going on at the same time , another one found me , I bought a 1996 TRX300A 2WD off Craig’s List cheap and lucky as I mentioned on another thread , with the intention to use it for parts , the young guy’s ‘s Dad was trying to get it running and said he couldn’t get fire and thought it was a stator and the rear end is blown out with teeth broke off the ring , no battery , no brakes , seat ripped , needs tires , and those are the bads , but there is alot of goods , the frame and engine are clean , front end tight , bike looks like low hours and road not dirt use , plastics almost perfect , the tank is not dented and has been lined with some white / cream colored liner and looks like a good job , nice racks and bumper , stock aluminum 12 inch rims , got the motor running and it sounds really good , with no battery it started with one kick once the problem was found , some one appears to have over loaded the 12 aux power supply on the handle bars and melted wiring , after pulling the wires apart and changing the fuse it fired up , was planning on repairing the harness till I started cutting back the loom , it melted all the way back to the battery but you couldn’t see it on that end , I can see why the old man never found the problem as I thought for sure it was the CDI as it is a 96 , the year of the bad CDI’s , but after taking off the front fender to get to the CDI , the burned wires was right there ———

So I have a 96 wiring harness that is sitting on the bike and half the old one unplugged , a TRX250 rear end ready to go , got the material yesterday to recover the seat and unstapled and cleaned the seat pan , got two use front tires and need to swop to the aluminum rims

No cosmetic restoration here , just mechanical repairs and a few upgrades , I think this is going to be a diamond from the rock

Air Filter Fell Off When Riding

Put a new K & N air filter on the recon, what a rip off it barely inserted into the boot! Anyway took it for about an hour ride the other day in the rain and mud(no dust) checked it about halfway thru and it was still on. So i rode the quad for about 30 mins in slight mud and puddles and when i checked it again the air filter had fell off. Think it should be ok? I run the quad with the lid ON and the box was pretty clean.

GOING BACK TO A STOCK FILTER. WASTE OF MONEY

1987 trx 250x switch

07 trx 250

My daughters 250 runs flawless however it is using a substantial amount of oil (7/8 of a quart on a 60 mile trail ride). Do i need to pull the motor off the frame to do a top end rebuild? Thanks!
