1999 fourtrax 300 4×4 stock…will it spin executioners?

I have a 1999 300 4×4 and have been looking at tires. I have a chance to get some executioners that are 26x10x12 in the front, and 26x12x12 in the rear. I’m wondering if not having the one inch difference will cause any issues if I also do pavement riding(kids,) but also if I am going to feel quite a bit of power loss. It is completely stock. Also, one last question, do you guys know if they are extremely rough on pavement? I don’t want to feel like I’m vibrating even after riding. lol Let me know what you guys think on all of that.

Thanks guys!

Honda angle sensor

Hello all, just wanted to make a post to hopefully save some people some money, and i was unable to find a post before.

My 1999 Foreman’s angle sensor sells for approx $56 on ebay the part number is 38800-HN0-A11 for the OEM

Well on ebay you can pickup one with the part number 38800-HR3-A21 for $25 and it does work. My ES works just fine with it and my wallet is a little happier.

Just thought id share as it seems like the angle sensors are usually a problem.

I believe it also works on 02-04 BUT i make no promises there.

Carolina Adventure World is having a night ride this coming weekend so maybe ill see some shining faces?

Happy Riding!

Edit** Oops i posted this in the wrong forum and i dont see the delete thread anywhere? Could someone take care of deleting this for me? Thank you

is this part important?

i changed the gearing on my 300ex from a 13 tooth front to a 14

when i took it apart there was a metal piece in by the chain

keeps it from rerailing maybe?

but now it wont fit in there with the bigger gear.

im assuming it will be ok without it .. but i figure it cant hurt to ask

2004 Recon 250 – turns over great but won’t crank

Ok so let me give you the info that I have, and what I have done and I hope to get some people to help me out. I bought a 2004 Honda Recon 250 for $400 not running. I brought it home and started taking things apart to see what could be wrong with it and the carb was gummed up, and it was missing choke parts, brakes cables are frozen and it has no air filter, or tank heat shield. So I bought a new carb from Honda and got it for $100, put that on and a new spark plug made sure that the gas tank wasn’t gunked up and then tried to crank it. It will turn over and it tries to crank but it won’t spark. I did take the spark plug out and check for a spark and I can see the spark plug creating a spark. I don’t know what else to try. I can’t even get the motor to crank with a shot of carb cleaner.

So I need help with what I can check and try to get this thing to crank. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

the my 300ex wont start thread.

ok i will start and run i trolled you a little bit .

but i have to pop the solenoid everytime to start it .

my start button is non responsive even when in neutral

i did find a green wire that was off my clutch switch .. but it doesnt seem to have any effect on the start switch ..

my kill switches work as intended .. starter is good cuz i can pop to solenoid just fine and its not the solenoid itself cuz i have replaced it and tested the old one which is still good as well .

iso advice on what to dig into

400ex Boggs after 1/4 throttle

I have a 2005 400ex with white brothers full exhaust and air filter. With a 6sigma jet kit. 42 pilot 162 Main. Did the same thing with 155 main. Problem existed before and after jet kit. The carb is clean, no intake leaks, mixture screw is 2.5 turns out. It starts up and idles fine, when engine in under load of in gear, after 1/4 throttle, it bogs down and wants to die. I don’t know what else to try it’s driving me crazy! Help please any questions I will gladly answer.

300ex shocks

What year front shocks are interchangeable on the 300ex. I have an 01 and broke the shock body off the bottom eye/ bushing. Are there any shocks off another brand bike that will bolt in. Thanks.

400x – Smaller diameter tires for MX

Guys, I tried this in the racing section for about a week with no replies, can any of you lend your expert opinions?

I have a 400x with stock front and rear tires, 450r shocks and ccp steering damper. I’ve been hitting the mx track every weekend and am considering a race, would a set of smaller 20" fronts and 18" rears provide a noticeable (worth it?) handling improvement? If so in what ways? I realize the smaller rears will spin up quicker, much like a larger rear sprocket, but will they help corner speed too? I’m trying to decide what will provide a bigger effect on lap times, tires or pipe and jetting. Obviously seat time, which I’m working on. Thanks.
