Hello everyone! New here,looks like a lot of know how on these pages.. Just purchased this machine with a bad wheel bearing. new parts are pricey, having trouble finding used. is there a way to find out what years, and models, parts will interchange with?
Hello there, I am having trouble with my 500fm 2009 with it not staying in 4×4 it will stay into about 20km and then it will cut out. so I have pulled out the front actuator off the front diff and found that the sensor had almost being chewed out and it had all sorts of crap and mud in there. has anybody had the same experience and does this mean that there is also something else wrong as well

ok guys got a question. I went out today and started the 2003 trx 250 ran fine then shut it off and went to re start it and nothing not a click or anything. I’m thinking the ignition went out. Am I on the right track? thanks
ok so i got a 400EX with a 440 big bore kit with a recent top end issue tore down the top end and fixed it then put it back together now it’s leaking oil from were the piston hits the valve now it looks like it coming from the top of the cam chain tensoner but it about a inch above that and coming dow how is that possible maybe a bent dowel pin its coming fom the right side of the motor idk i need help plz i will add a picture and recently every time i get on a hill it leak on the overfill line on the carb i cleaned carb any other suggetion but i recently changed the main jet but it didnt leak until i noticed i dumped dirty gas in does that mean the floats are still dirty
I don’t know atvs at all. I was told was a 300 only to discover it’s a 250. It has a 5 speed and reverse .
I tried to decode the vin and I think it’s a 1985 trx250. The pictures online show a fourtrax but it doesn’t look like mine. Any help would be appreciated, I’m trying to decide if it’s even worth trying to fix.
My 1987 TRX250 is in great shape, but recently has started shutting down after riding for 20-30 minutes. It sputters a little, and stops. The you wait a little while, full choke it and you MIGHT get it back to the barn on one shot. Usually two or three start/stops to get home. After a couple hours, its back to a full 20-30 minute run.
So I put a new coil/plug wire on it last week and it SEEMED to help a little, but still dies out. I thought the coil might be breaking down.
Next I suspect fuel delivery…maybe trash in the tank gets jiggled around and blocks the petcock?
I have one of these that sat for years. I removed the carb and took it to a guy but finally gave up on him ever completing the work so I bought a new one, hooked it up and boom, it ran perfect. After very little use, I loaded it up, took it to the lake filled it with gas and have had trouble ever since. Essentially what it is doing is starting right up but when I try to give it any throttle it seems to bog down and not increase revs. I have a new sparkplug in it. The carb I have has had pretty good reviews online and it ran so well out of the box. Any suggestions what I might look at?
