My 2000 Honda Recon 250 started out running good for about 2 minutes, then sputtered and died. I got it restarted and it ran pretty good for about 15 seconds and then started to sputter real bad. I barely made it home. Any ideas about what could be causing this would be appreciated. Could it be bad gas?
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck fitting a new seat cover. I purchased a nu style seat cover to replace my old cover on my Trx 450er 2013, i have even put it in the clothes dryer to soften it up a little. But it is a bad fit, dropped the old stock cover back on and fitted like a glove no stretching at all.
P.S. I have fitted a new Factory Effex cover on my crf 250r 2008, everything went well on that install.

I have:
– DG (Supertrapp-type) slip-on.
– stock carb.
– all stock intake except for K&N style air filter with lid.
Was wondering what main jet would get me close on jetting it right.
Any help appreciated.!
Thanks in advance…
I have a Fourtrax 300FW, 1995 and recently noticed it started leaking white grease. Take a look here (sorry for the bike being so dirty):
Here’s a close up:
The grease doesn’t start coming out until maybe 20 minutes of running. Only a small dribble as shown above will come out and then eventually stop (when I’ve been riding for a while).
Also, I hear a sort of shreiking noise during the first 20 minutes. I hope nothing is busted too bad…
Is the leak really bad? Or supposed to be white? I have some puddles down in the wood lot so maybe some water got in if the seal or gasket is screwed?
Just pulled this old girl out of the barn and got her running again. Fresh oil, filters and fuel and a new set of rims and tires did the trick. Found new Gas shocks for it by pure luck and that should be all it needs. If someone else is lucky enough to find shocks they are KIMPEX 273316 for the front and KIMPEX 273317 for the rear. Thank god for old guys that take care of their stuff this thing is in amazing shape for being 29 years old. 1986 fourtrax 350.

I have 3 Honda TRX250’s, all 1987 models. Two seem to shift smooth, no lurch. The third, which seems to be the best condition of them all, hits hard on all shifts into another gear.
I have adjusted the nut the helps set the shift force over and over, and it either hits really hard, or it will hardly go into gear at all, and has barely enough torque to even get moving.
I changed the oil, ensured the level was correct. No differences.
