I have a Honda rancher 400 AT its a 2007 w a custom 1- 1 12 inch lift I want to upgrade to new tires. I want to get the kenda executioner on some new rims. I have now in the front 24x8x12 an back 24x10x11
I want to change to 25x8x12s all the way around. I have the stock axles on as well. Should I upgrade or wait till it breaks.
So what I want to know are there any major cons to doing this to my bike? I think it’d b just fine. Just want some advice
Thx
I have a 2006 rancher 350 and the head had a seat come out.
Instead of fixing i was going to replace the head with a used one.
My question is will a 2000 350 head work. It looks almost identical and
the gaskets are the same but there is one # different in the part #’s.
I put it on and will start and run but acts like its running real rich and will not idle unless i have half throttle on. Does it sound like a carb issue or heads not gonna work?
I’m thinking about putting a Hijacker 2" lift on my Rancher AT.
I have 25" tires and not planning on going bigger. The lift will be for nothing else except to look a little better.
How much will the 2" lift affect the handling and will it just put the axles in more of a bind?
If it will just make it more top heavy and bind everything up then I wont be putting one on there because Its only going to be a cosmetic thing anyway.
I bought a used 2010 Rancher 420 a couple weeks ago. Noticed when looking at it before buying that the front bumper was bent a little and the plastic cover was cracked up the middle. I wasn’t worried about it then because the bumper covers cracking seems to be a common occurrence, and a new cover would hide the dents in the bumper. It on the trailer on the way home I noticed that the front plastic seemed to be tilted a little, and while it hurts nothing it bugs me when I see it. After checking it over a bit more today I noticed that the bumper is bent a little more than I thought and that their is a strut that supports the front plastic and headlight that is bent back and up. Like I said it hurts nothing, but I’m going to be a bit anal about it and its going to get fixed.
I’ve seen a few used bumpers for 07-08 models, but none for the 09+ yet. I’ve seen that their is a part number change for 2009 and later, which from my understanding has to do with a rear frame change to support the IRS. If I have to buy new I can find the 07-08 bumper for a good bit less than the 09+ part. Am I correct in thinking that the front of the frame the same where the bumper connects? Can I install an 07-08 bumper on a 2010 frame?
This is the piece I’m taking about:
From looking at aftermarket parts support and eyeballing pictures of the parts I think I know the answer to what I’m asking, but want the confirmation.
Ok, well I have had this 4wheeler for about 3 months now and I love it. But I have a very serious problem that I absolutely cannot figure out, I took the carb off a few days ago to clean it and when I put it back on I started the four wheeler up and no gears would show on the selector. N, D, or R. So I looked around and noticed a broken wire on the sensor on the side of the carb. The greenish blue one to be exact. So I fixed the wire out it back together, and nothing. I tried to reset it, but it does nothing. So I kept messing with it, to the point where I disconnected just that wire from the plug and bam. Neutral shows up. And it runs fine, then the next day nothing again I pulled and put back the 30A engine fuse and it runs fine now in ESP but in auto it is like it’s staying in 1st gear. In fed up with it and I don’t want to drop 100s in sensors if it’s not the problem please reply…

Looking for some help from someone who has a 13 rancher 42 ES.
I have 2 questions .
1) What size superwinch terra should I buy? Basically will be used for light plowing. I done ever see it used for much more. Maby some light work around the property.
2) what mount do I need?
Feel free to add any comments on my plan. Pros / cons?
Actualy I’ll toss this one in too. My rancher is 2 years. Old and still has the original oil in it. 51 miles. Manual says change it at 100. Normally I would change it because of the time, but does Honda use break in oil? If they do, I want to keep it in, if not I want to change it. Thoughts?
Thanks
What size tire and what type of mudtire should I put on my 2015 Rancher? It’s mainly for trails, but occasional mudholes and my pond! I am thinking of 26" and 9" or 10" wide all the way around. I don’t wanna lose power
Hello guys, need some help. I replaced the cam chain in my 2006 Rancher 350 FE, I was careful to put everything back in place as it came off. Now I have no neutral or reverse light, I also found the starter button not working and shift buttons not operating. I am also not getting any spark. Is there something I may have missed in the neutral or reverse sensors? Maybe the gear position sensor? All grounds are hooked up and the fuses all look good. And sensor connections seem all good. This all worked before I tore the motor down, so I’m pretty sure it’s not a mechanical failure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Why in God’s name would they put the fuel filter in the pump? Mine is clogged up. Honda here dosnt even stock the filter For my bike. Can I put an inline filter from the tank to the pump canister ? Gravity will still put enough fuel in the canister as fast as the pump can take it…right?
