So I have a snorkel on my rancher and box is sealed up tight. Used heat gun to get my air box lid off just to check out and then reseal it. But when I took it off and looked I found liquid at the bottom and dipped my finger into it and straight up looks and feels like oil. Anyone know why there would be oil in my airbox?

Since I got a chance I started tracing some noises that had been bugging me. Think I may have found the cause
Tried KFI but apparently they close at 1pm on Fridays. Anybody know what size so I can hit a hardware store while it rains all weekend? Its a 2014 Rancher ES 4×4 with the KFI winch mount
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a picture or two, I have a 2001 350 that I bought not that long ago now. The winch didn’t work when I bought it, and I’m going to replace it, but someone, in the past, has pretty well butchered the front where the which is supposed to mount. when I took the winch, and bracket out, and can see where they’ve cut some brackets before, made some crude brackets, and mounted the winch lower than it was originally supposed to go. I would like to fab up a new mount, similar to the stock way the winch should be mounted, and what I’m looking for, is a picture of the front of someone’s, atv, the same as,(or very similar to) mine, with out the winch mounted. I could also use a good picture with a winch mounted, if it shows what the brackets look like. Or if some one could point me to a site that would have good pictures, that would also help?
I’ve played on google for an hour without any luck finding what I’m looking for.
Thank you,
Matt

Hello everybody!
I had seriously overheated my trx420fa 2010 engine, so I got a question what to do:
I can try to repair my own engine, but the price of it may be the same with the price of ordering a used engine. I mean this one 2013 Honda TRX420 FPA Rancher ATV Engine Motor Transmission | eBay
It’s a used engine from trx420FPA 2013, but I’m not sure, if that engine will fit my model.
My main question: are these engines comparable, or there is a difference between them?
Thank you for your answers and please sorry, if I do mistakes in my english – I’m writing you from cold Russia, so english is not my native language 🙂
I have a 07 Rancher 420 I bought used its got a slight ting at idle and the vavles havent been checked in quite awhile so I am going to tackle it. I found a ton of threads and a few pics but wondering if anyone has a link to a video? The only video I can find is for a older 350 Rancher nothing with the 420. Thanks!

I’m by no means a mechanic, however try to troubleshoot things myself before breaking out the billfold. My 2001 Rancher 350 sets quite often, so take that into consideration. Last rode 2 Mo’s ago and ran fine after changing a plug. What I have so far. Went in shop, fired right up, drove an 1/8th of a mile, killed it pressure washed it, now wont start. Waited two days, thinking something may have gotten wet or lose, but still wont start. Turns over just fine. Changed spark plug again, still wont start. Will run for a second with starting fluid, but only tried that twice. Okay, here’s where Im confused, I pull started it and it fired right up and ran 10 seconds, died. Did it again, ran again for 7 seconds or so. then eventually it failed to run off pull start. Bled the bowl, gas poured out for 5 or so seconds. Then tightened it up, tried pull start, no luck. Again I am no mechanic, however have just tried to do some things to narrow down the problem. I believe its definitely a fuel issue? Carb could very well be gummed up due to the minimal use, but wanted to see if there were any ideas before I got into that. Any input appreciated. Thanks
