I am getting a 12 flash Error Code; I have gone through the repair manual and it called for a new ECM module.
I have put in a the new ECM, an angle sensor, and a control motor, but still the same code. Sometimes it will come on in N but mostly in safe mode.
2007 Rancher fa. Any suggestions?

2007 Honda rancher 420. Was riding around back field at slow idle. Motor just stopped. Motor would turn over but not start. Noticed that when key was turned on the fuel pump didn’t pump. After 10 minutes of sitting I turned the key and pump ran and atv started right up. This issue has happened twice now on two different days that were about 80 degrees. Do the fuel pumps over heat? Is this a sign that the pump may be getting ready to die? The cooling fan runs when the motor gets to a certain temp. Any help would be appreciated.
So I was looking around for info on a possible replacement for my 06 Rincon, and while I was browsing through honda’s website I saw the new 2015 rancher. It’s, in my opinion, a nice improvement in styling, but what really caught my eye was the new suspension. My girlfriend has a 2012 AT IRS, and it’s a great quad she loves it, but the suspension leaves a little to be desired. I was wondering if anyone had taken a close enough look at the new 2015 suspension Subframe to see if it might be swappable onto a 2012 frame.

I have a green 2007 420 that I’m freshening up. The plastics are in terrible shape thanks to the previous owner and everywhere I’ve looked the front fender is Discontinued. However the 2010 Fender is in stock and ready to ship. Can anyone tell me if the years are interchangeable or if I’m only looking at slight modifications to make it work?
I would usually roll the dice, but at $160 I figured I’d ask.
My 05 Rancher ES starts and idles fine on choke. When I attempt to turn off the choke it stalls. By feathering the throttle I can get the motor to rev up but it is difficult without stalling and still doesn’t have any power – much like it is only running on the pilot jet.
My thinking was the main jet was clogged or the needle broken but that has all been checked and cleared.
It was running great before this problem occurred so I don’t believe it is gas.
Have owned this bike since new and the motor has never been a problem.
So before I pull the carburetor all apart I figured a post here might be fruitful.

On three occasions when slowly going up very steep inclines a noise (kind of like gears stripping?) comes from the front end or the engine and the ATV stops pulling. If I let off and stop and go again, it will move several feet and repeat. These hills are almost too steep to walk up and it was suggested that the oil might be pooling in the motor/drive train and exposing gears/clutches. If I’m on a reasonable grade, I can start/stop go fast or slow and no issues. I was also told that no ATV should be on some of these hills because they are too steep. Not sure if it’s only when in 4X4 but wouldn’t try the hills in 2WD.
