I have a newbie question. Can someone tell me the right rear axle nut size on a 2006 Honda Rancher 350? I have not located it in the shop manual and my socket set only goes to 19mm.

Is there a way to tell how many hours or miles are on a bike that doesn’t have a speedometer? I am getting one and it still has the original tires in good shape, so I figure its fairly low, but was just wondering.

So we have a number of these quads in the family. All ’00-’02. We had some issues with one of our carbs leaking gas from the bottom drain hose which to me is indicative of a floater problem. So we cracked it open and found something interesting.

First off the floater pin appears to be sticking slightly, so it isn’t allowing itself to be pushed up to seal with the floaters upward force.
Second, the cause of the problem appears to be from a greenish residue which we can see all over in the lower reservoir. It’s got a chalk-dust like texture and has to be wiped off, it doesn’t just rinse off.

Upon cleaning it all up as best we could in the field, the problem continues, and possibly worsened. Then magically went completely away. Then the leak returned in a slow drip so we parked the quad. It was a weird one to us. The gas was fresh. Quad was running well for quite a while (35km), then after a while would just barely stall out at base idle, but was otherwise running fine.

What do you think that green crud is and is there a simple treatment or cleaning method?
Is there a replacement for: just the floater pin? The bronze tube it slides in/out of? Perhaps the bronze seat or rubber tip are still dirty, preventing a seal.

Just looking for some feedback on some issues I have on a new to me Rancher, any and all feedback is welcome!

Question is just regarding the work that the shop called me about today that they say it needs… Ive had good experiences with them for a Yamaha jet ski in the past and its really the only place to take something to with a problem that’s local. Ive got no reason to think anything other than what Im being told, but would just like any feedback or thoughts regarding this atv’s problems as I don’t have a ton of knowledge or history with these.

For the smoke-(I did read into this a decent amount, assumed it needed new rings/pistons or top end rebuild)-it was a light blue, smoked in low gears and high gears if going slow. Smoked more in reverse…

I was told the whole top end would be replaced, and that they would not be "over boring" the current top end…

The brakes were non existent, I knew that much…I was told that it needed new brake shoes – front & rear, pads, hand brake & foot brake cables, piston seal & piston (for brake?) and steering knuckle assembly-wheels.
The price to fix these issues was $779

I know Im the 3rd owner of this rancher, and the previous guy rode it every weekend on trails, and told me It was smoking a little, and the brakes were out…which is all true. I assume he stored it outside and rode it fairly hard as some of the plastic is faded and a couple of fasteners holding the fenders are gone, a few cracks in the plastic…

Somewhere in the above prices quoted, an oil change and fluid replacement, air filter replacement are included.

just bought a rancher and want to get some wheels but are they 4×3 or 5×2 stock?or whats the closest to stock

Would these wheels work on my 2014 sra rancher 4×4? There the right bolt pattern but don’t know about the offsets

ok so to start my bikes electirc start did not work so we were just using the recoil start to get it running no big deal.
Then a few weeks later we take it out for another ride and the whole bike runs bad the automaic mode would run funny,then the bikes engine would not rev up in reverse and the pod went completely blank. then when you would drive it in forward all the lights on the dash would come on.
now the battery is dead all the time and when i try charging it, it still runs terrible. and when i try to use a multimeter on the battery the bike always dies now.
Has anyone ever had this problem before?

I can not get my Honda TRX 350 into reverse? I put it in Neutral and Push dow the Red button on the Left handle bar and then press the Down shift button and it does nothing, I can not Manually shift into Revers but down shifting with my left foot
can any one help me with this?

Picked up an older set of 4 12" ITP C Series (from what I can tell) aluminum wheels to fit my 2001 Fourtrax TRX350FE. Obviously being that the frout wheels are identical, I wonder what kind of spacers I will need for the rears. Looking to go with 25×10-12. Any thoughts? Thanks!
