So, I got my Grizzly back today from a friend who did a rebuild on the bottom end which was toast after the diff plate broke and ate the case and gears. Proballer helped me out with a used motor for cases and a few gears. I put a new chain, oil pump, and Weller racing diff plate in it and replaced the gears that were damaged. All this was after the wet clutch, drum, and one way bearing were replaced because of excessive heat. I also added slugs and a brand new belt.
All of the above damage, along with a toasted stator harness and the EPS quitting was done by someone else when I let a friend of a friend ride it. It came back in the damaged shape not running. It had no issues with anything prior to loaning it out.
So now everything is repaired except the EPS is still not working and the light is on. If the bike threw any codes when it went down, I do not know. It does not show any now. My question is…Would the stator issue have caused any issue with the EPS (ie low voltage or possible relay damage) or is it more likely that the two are unrelated? Best place to start diagnosing the EPS?? Seemed very odd that it all went bad at the exact same time. The steering is not locked up and is drivable but I want to get it all back working, especially if it is just a matter of clearing or resetting the codes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Can anyone tell me how to reach the rear bushing fittings? There is a plastic guard in the way and I cant seem to get it off. Alo front universal looks impossible to grease. Its a 2005 350. Thanks in advance.
Hi guys, I was wondering if I needed a fuel programmer on my grizzly 700. The only current modifications are a k&n air filter and a 2r racing exhaust tip. it seems to run fine is this needed?
Thanks
Hi. Was out hunting with my grizzly (700 2013), stopped a couple of times and the quad shut down. Re-started easy enough both times. Third time shut done and wouldn’t restart. When shutting down died instantly. Good charge when trying to re-start. Just had tuned up was running great. Thinking fuel pump but I can’t see it starting the other times as far as I understand once a fuel pump is gone it doesn’t re-start. Pete

I just had a full service from my local dealer. In the process of changing the rear Dif oil, they stripped the plug (not the threads, but the plug itself) and had to order a new one.
When I got the Grizzly back, it ran perfect as usual, but I noticed that it wouldn’t hold on a hill in Park. As a matter of fact, it would roll forward or backward (depending on which way it was pointing) with a clicking sound.
So now I’m wondering is there’s anything the dealer could have done to cause this. Is there any linkage that they would have had to remove in order to do their service work, like adjusting the valves?
Hi I am having couple issues, the last time I went riding in the middle of the trip when I went to start my 2002 660 Grizzly the starter motor would spool up but would not turn the motor over (just hear it spinning) I was able to use the pull cord to start the motor and get back home. Now at home if I keep pressing the start button after a while the starter will turn the motor over and start the engine? Do I need a new starter or a one way gear. If it is just a one way gear how hard is it to replace?
Also now after the engine is running the temp light is on even when I first start it up so it is not hot yet to make the light come on. I know they are not related I think but thought I would mention it.
