It started to knock from the clutch area during decelerating just before returning to the idle range. I have replaced the wet clutch, primary, secondary, all bearings, seals, belt, about everything. Runs perfect now, but the knock is still there. One way bearing is in the right way. I was convinced that was the problem and I bought a 2nd one. The noise is still there. It’s a single knock that hits about 4-5 mph when slowing down. If you slow it down very slowly, the knock doesn’t happen. I am now trying a 3rd one way bearing. The first two were aftermarket ones from Ebay that cost $20. I’m hoping the oem fixes the problem. It makes the noise in neutral too. Has anyone ever had any experience with this? I have learned a lot from this website and appreciate the help.

I’m was wondering if anyone on GF has had any experience with Yamaha’s pressure washers, specifically the PW3028? Im considering buying one was wondering if they’re worth the money? They look like a solid unit with quality parts (I.e.;cat pump).
Thanks
I am breaking in my new 2014 Grizzly 550. It seems that when cruising at approx. 12-17 MPH under light load on level surfaces there is a kind of vibration/roughness/ light knocking noise somewhere in the cvt or engine. If I give it a little gas or leave off the gas it goes away. Other than that everything is going smooth. This thing sure cruises at a lot higher rpm that my Honda Rubicon does and just seems noisy at times. I guess I just have to get used to it. Has anyone else experienced the roughness I am talking about. Hopefully it will get better with more miles on it. I am at 6.5 hours and 60 miles so far.
I have searched and I am sure this info is out there but I did not find a definite answer. Do you completely stop when engaging 4×4? I know the manual says to completely stop but it talks more about safety issues. On my Honda Rubicon I have shifted in and out of 4×4 on the fly for 10 years with no issues. I am finding on my new 550 that out of habit I am not always completely stopped and is shifts fine. I am not talking about high speed shifting mainly 5-10 mph or so under no load conditions. Am I damaging anything?
Guys, I bought the 130mm grips based on the length of my current grips. I cut a grip off, and now have figured out that I need to move my controls in a bout a half inch.
There’s a stupid tab on the bars keeping that from happening.
Moral of the story- buy the 120mm length. Or grind the tab off.
