So Yamaha decided NOT to sell the windshields for the 2016 Grizzly and Kodiak here in the USA.. Why , so more people would buy the LE model.
You lucky Canadians can choose from Blue , Green , Red , or Camouflage..
I called Yamaha USA last week and after 3 more phone calls , and MUCH persistence I talked to someone who was able to help..
45 min conversation included me pointing out many flaws with the decision to withhold the windshields from us..
I concluded with I would get a green windshield no matter what , whether they sold it to me , or I have a Canadian friend mail it to me. If they refused to sell me one , then when I got it I would show it to America on my youtube channel , and bad mouth Yamaha the whole time… Or they could sell them here in the USA , and I would Show it on my youtube channel and talk Yamaha up , as I have been..
I added , I had over 3 times more views of the 2016 Grizz than Yamaha USA has on thier Youtube channel.
They called me back today ,, WINDSHIELDS WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE to Americans too now ! Expect them on thier website in 10 days or less !

Have new Grizzly 700 that I bought in April of this year. Have only 100 miles on it. It was doing pretty well… until last night.
Rode it up the hill on my property last night, stopped, shut of the engine. Came back to ATV in about 2 minutes turn the keys to start the engine- nothing. I mean nothing at all. Nothing on display, no power at all. As if someone just took the battery out in those two minutes I wasn’t there. What the heck!!!
So I had to roll it down the hill on neutral back to my house. Connected battery charger and it started right up. So I was kind of relieved that it was just dead battery. So I let it run for about 10 minutes. After that I hopped on to it to park it in it’s usual spot, shift the gear and rode it like 6 feet and it just died. So now I am really concerned. Why would it just stop running with engine on?
Can dead battery do that? Start thinking that maybe stater is bad and did not charge the battery? But that would be pretty sad on a new ATV!!!
Anyway, can this happen with dead battery in Grizzly 700?
I have no means to bring it to the dealer. So before I look for the way to do it, I thought I will ask here and maybe can fix it myself.
I hope it is just dead battery.

Going to buy a new atv soon currently have a 09 grizzly 700 like the new grizzly but I would like more power just like the reliability of the yamaha has anyone made the switch to can am if what’s your likes and dislikes thanks
Well its been a while since ive posted, thought I would give an update. After spending months searching and waiting for the right grizzly. Finally finding it, driving 8 hours round trip to get it. I got to ride it 3 times, put on about 100 miles. Was getting ready to order rims and tires and start modding it.
Anyway, I got back from riding and left it parked in my driveway while I ran to the store and got some dinner, got back about 15 minutes later and the Grizzly was gone. Of course nobody had seen anything and the police wont be able to help much.
So now im back in the market. This time though im going to jump on the can am bandwagon. Im looking at 1000cc outlanders and renegades. I really cant decide which one I want. Ive read every review I can find and im still so torn. Think its going to come down to which one I end up finding a better deal for.

replacing exhaust studs @ cylinder head. new studs have a long side and a short side of threads. which side do i put into the cylinder long or short or does it matter ? im thinkin short in cyl. anyone know for sure?
I started noticing the grizzly was having a hard time starting. The starter relay would whine and turning the engine over sounded a little weak. Fist I thought battery so I freshened it up on the charger. Tryed again this time the relay is buzzing and nothing is happening. Checked voltage on both sides of relay and at starter which was fine. Pulled the starter of and noticed I could barely turn the shafts and it was real gritty. Pulled it apart and there were chunks of magnet binding everything up. All but one magnet was in one piece. And everything else was destroyed.
Being 0nly a 2011 I can’t believe the starter is trashed already. Anybody else ever have this issue?

Hello. Į got 2007 Yamaha grizzly 700. 4495km 250hours. And į got now strange noise in cvt when driving. Its not clunking its not one way bearing. I was told that į need to clean and regrease primary clutch. So now im thinking IF this oil is good for cvt Litol 24
