02 Grizly 660

Hello all . I am picking up a 2002 660 on Monday . I am new to the ATV scene . I am really just getting it to use on hunting trips . No crazy mud runs or anything like that . What do I need to look for and what if any mods do I need to do to insure the longevity of my new to me quad ? It is all stock as it sits now and has 2062 miles and 525.8 hours on it . Thanks

Storing your ATV outside?

Is there anyone here who stores their ATV outside?

I’ve got a 2003 Grizzly, and an old rotting storage building that leaks badly. My garage is full with my wife’s car and a bass boat, so the old storage building is my only option. I bought an ATV cover that I use to cover it, because of the leaking storage building, and the fact that one side of the building is open anyway.

My real question is does anybody store their ATV outside, and how does it do? What kind of cover do you use, if you use one at all? Could I store my Grizzly outside with a cove on it and it would be okay?

Fuel stabilizer

I buy my gas from a gas station 20 min away. It has non-ethanol gas and it is the only gas station around that has it. So I buy a lot and add Sta-ble brand fuel stabilizer. Just today thought came to me if it is safe to run Grizzly with that thing in the gas. Do you guys know if it is ok? Never can be too safe with 9K machine.
Thank you

Mudbuster cam in a 550 grizzly???

I have a 2009 550 grizzly. Running JBS extreme kit, 1mm shim, 1000rpm stall springs instead of the slugs, gold secondary spring, snorkel, HMF penland pro with the optimizer, k&n air filter… My question is both the 2009 550 & 700 share the same cam. Hot cams offers a mudbuster can for the 700 but not the 550. I called Hot cams and asked if they would interchange and after reviewing it they called me back and said yes. Can anyone tell me a reason not to try this?

2011 Grizzly 700 EPS Value ?

So some stuff came up, and I need to free up some cash. Plus I have been looking at new bikes anyways so I guess timing is good. 2011 grizzly with power steering, winch, wheels & tires. Less than 200 miles on her. Stealership said without looking at it ballpark would be blue book trade in of $3800…. Ewwwww

Maybe spark plug?

Hello.
2007 Yamaha grizzly 700. So when i ride and few times it just started boging down and then few times popped from exhaust and started runing again. Could this be just spark plug or something worse?

Upgrade from 2002 660 to a 2007 700 EPS

Hi Everyone, I just landed a major opportunity to upgrade my 2002 660 to a 700 EPS. Major craigslist find from a widow whos husband died in 2009, after putting 460 miles on his brand new 2007 700 EPS. Bought it on site for $4,500, called my buddy and sold my 2002 for $3,500 all in one day.

So I got the wheeler home and started going through it. It’s a brand new machine. Not one aftermarket mod, not a single thing done since it was brought home new. They had drained the gas and stored it since 2009–It’s absolutely mint.

In the last three weeks, I have bought a new Warn 3000 winch, a provantage front plow mouth, synthetic rope, throttle extender, big bear windshield, and auxbeam 72W LED light bar, and have had a blast installing all the new parts. I have a 60" provantage plow on order, and moved over my ITP type 4 wheels and radial tires from the 660.

I’m a tinkerer, and love to spend time in the garage working on the toys. I had gone through the 660 when I first got it and tore it down to the frame, checking and replacing every moving part, cleaning the carb, adjusting valves, changing out wheel bearings and axles, etc., but no matter how hard I tried I could not, in a million years make that 660 feel as clean and new as this 700 does!
