ok, so i ordered a new starter solenoid relay on eBay and although it said it was the right one it seems as though the connectors aren’t the same. i can post pics if needed!
I am wondering if i can just splice the wires together instead of modifying using the connectors? are there any issues with doing this?
I know i would have to tape them up well so that they don’t pull apart, but i know i can do this no problem.
I just got a grizzly 660 with a grenaded engine and have been looking at the aftermarket head and crankcase on ebay, does anyone have any experience with these?
hey guys redoing my 2000 grizzly 600 top end I was wondering if the cylinder is in good condition do I still need to get it worked on or is it good the way it is I’m hard to replace the valve seals and broke a stud off in the cylinder so now I’m going to go into the cylinder off and try to get that out I was just wondering while I’m in there what else I need to do I’m trying to conserve money so if its in good shape I really don’t want to mess with that

So not always but most of the time when I shift from high to low gear it doesn’t engage right away now before anyone says this, I am holding both hand brakes and foot brake as well, after shifting into low I let go all the brakes and lightly push on the throttle and nothing then touch the brakes again and wam into low it goes. Anyone else with this problem if so any solution or any idea why? Thanks
Not going to go too much into this engine, most of everything Ive been doing is listed. I’ve been tuning the engine with autotune after setting all my afr targets. I use Monster Tuner via laptop.
My only issue is after a while of riding I start getting a misfire/backfire out the exhaust mainly-only during backing of the throttle a little at lower rpm. Say, cruising going 40mph at whatever throttle position to 30 mph and slightly less throttle position.
Last summer I could only get the machine to top out around 65mph. Since then I modified a new intake pipe to fit the existing oem box which also has been cut open more then last yr and prefiltered. I went from a stage 2 to stage 3 raptor (which is grizzly stage 2). I did a half shaft mod on my throttle body and smoothed out the lip on the inside of the body and edges of TB. Removed my Purple spring and went to an orange spring.
When I started tuning I zeroed out all the fuel table to start fresh and changed a little bit of the afr targets. This yr I hit 72mph and had to back off the throttle bc it was getting a little sketchy with all the bumps and laptop in my hand. I do believe it would have hit atleast 78. The rzr 900s I was already beating last yr have no chance at all this yr. So I’ve done something right so far.
My issue is I’m getting carbon build up on the base ring and up the ground strap of the spark plug which I believe is causing the misfires/backfire at low rpm/deceleration. Wot high rpm does not seem to be affected at all. From reading my plug I think I’m rich at idle and mid range. To me my WOT looks to be dead on. My timing on ground strap looks good to me too. The plug I’m using is the CPR7EA-9. Gas tank has half full of 90 and filled the rest of the way with 87, so 88.5 which is exactly midgrade up here. There is no ethanol added to the gas up here. I wanted to lower the octane from what I was running incase that was the issue and I have yet to rule that out yet. 11.1-1 compression with advanced ignition timing. Plug was brand new at beginning of this ride and yes I know I should put a new one in and do some runs, immediately shut off and then read. I’ll do that next time.
What do you think of my plug?
What’s good idle, mid/cruising and decel afr that y’all run?
Just picked up the new BBK kit from Eric at EHS and have to say the new HC Pistons he is milling out look sweet. I have purchased about every single mod that he has available for our Grizzly’s and have always been very pleased. Not only does he and his company sell top notch products, he stands behind everything and is always available to help in any way he can over the phone. Unfortunately that is tough to find these days from any company. To show my appreciation I just thought I would put together a thread showing a few of the EHS products I have purchased in the past in hopes I can generate a little business for EHS Racing. By the way, I am in no way affiliated with EHS Racing and am not gaining anything from this. I am simply a happy consumer and like to help the "little guys" out especially when they sell superior products. Anyway, thanks again Eric for all the great products and all the time spent developing the best product you can.
