Help before I burn it

2007 grizzly 660 860 km yes km. I have had this bike since new and rarely drive it mainly because it doesn’t run right. After about a year old it started to lack power and bog when in the mud. Thought it was the carb cleaned really thorough several times. Still didn’t run right. Bought a jet kit and striped a jet trying to get it out. So I bought a aftermarket carb, installed it it without the jet kit. started up idles really good drives without missing no backfire. Just now the bike has no low end or top end. Top speed is 55 60 if I have a long enough straight stretch. New plug, spark seems good. Cleaned the clutch new belt. Cleaned the tank, new fuel before the carb change. Checked the valves at about 500 km around when I first started having troubles. I don’t know if it’s the after market carb that’s the problem now. Should I drill out the air fuel plug and Adjust that. Or is it something else I’m missing. I’m going to buy a compression tester tomorrow and check that. Maybe check the valves again but I doubt it would cause that much power loss. I have a 250 yam that has more power than the grizz.

600 grizz stripped head bolts

Here we go again just had new valves and springs installed . the cylinder hone started putting everything back together and the 4 bolts that hold the valve head to the cylinder every one of them stripped I don’t understand do I need to retap? is it a M8 thread ?what size tap do I use?

Engine dies when transmission placed in gear

I’m looking for a little help – my grizzly is having some clutch problems that don’t seem to match the other threads!

When I went to start it up and move it last, the clutch made a grinding noise when I put it in gear and the engine sputtered out! I can turn the secondary sheave by hand and it turns the wheels, and the primary rotates just fine when not in gear.

But, with the engine started something in the primary side of the clutch seems to kick up a big fuss when I put it in gear. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

barkers slip on Mount

I bought a used barkers for my 550, and I was hoping someone might have a picture of the bracketry. Mine came with one spacer and it looks like it’s way to long to go inside the clamp, but there is obvious marks of a spacer being there, so I assume I need to make a spacer. Instructions would be great, didn’t see them on the ehs or barkers sight. Thanks in advance!

Clutch Reinstall

So I got my new clutch carrier in. The clutch drum will fit over the carrier no problem without the bearing. With the bearing on I cannot get the drum on . I cant figure out the problem. It feels like it will not fit over the bearing. Everything looks to be in order. Any input would be greatly appreciated. 700 yamaha grizzly/
