New CVT ratio….3.15:1

I took my tranny apart this morning to add shim. I did indeed have 1.7mm to begin with, which gave me a 3.04:1 ratio.

I added another .5mm shim, still had splines showing on the cam plate and it gave me my new ratio….3.15:1, or 4 fins beyond 3:1.

I now have a total of 2.2mm shim and a 3.15:1 ratio.

Here are the pictures and I did take a video of the ratio count, I’ll have to upload it to you-tube and I’ll get that posted up.

Inner cv joint replacement

So when ever I turn right at slow speeds I hear a clunk coming from the rear diff area so I looked it up and it’s a rear inner cv joint. I’m assuming it’s the right one because it does it when I turn right witch puts more stress on the right cv joint. I’ve replaced axles before but could any one help me by showing the parts I will need for the replacement and correct me if I’m wrong with anything.

Oil in Airbox

Every time I check my Air filter there is some oil in the Airbox. Not huge amounts but enough that I wipe it out with a paper towel. I am assuming it is oil off the Foam Element that has dripped down and not engine oil. I follow the filter Cleaning method exactly but I still have the oil every time I check it.

Is this normal?

Radiator help

So.. After a 3 hour ride yesterday I noticed my temp light came on. Then noticed my fan had stopped running. I spun the fan by hand then checked fuses. All good. I get home and start taking things apart to get to radiator. It’s empty. Just a lil tiny fluid in very bottom but reservoir is showing a little above full. Im sure there’s a sensor in the rad to kick the fan on but with no fluid it’s getting hot. Never noticed a leak or anything. Any ideas of where to start. Why would radiator b empty and reservoir b full?
